It comes to my mind that actually the combination of elements is the nature of creativity.
How does that brought to me, you may ask. I will say that it is photography. Like this bottle of coke,
it is held by my hand, you can also make it stand on the top of a desk or the ground, but wherever it is, its some where. If we assume it stays in a INFINITE space where only this bottle exist, nothing else, no hand, no air, no gravity, nothing but this bottle, so where could it be? In my mind, it is everywhere, since there is nothing to help locate where it is, and next step you can't prove that it ever existed, because it takes other things connections to form its identity, kind weird but reasonable.See that the world consists of things that connected to one another, and as a matter of fact, connection is one identity of every thing, it is the truth of one subject that it is connected to one another that prove its existence.
Every thing consists of combined elements, for human, from cells to organs to a human body, for paints, from a dot, a line, a curve, from Red, Green, Yellow, for a song, from a sylable, a note, a choir...every thing! And we call the force that put them together Creativity.
Connection comes with the existence, and combination is the presence of connections to realize some certain goal, based in the context of human society, and we only call combinations that looks special Creativity.Take this photograpghy for example,
what do you see in it? Sky, night, trucks, buildings, road, road lamps...in black and white color. See that is a combination of elements. I intend to create a photo that looks like doom or disaster, so I chose this place, this time, these things to realize my idea.As how do you think this photo is good or bad, thats another story.
