I don't like my father when I was a child. Mostly because of two reasons, the first one is that he was very strict with me, the other reason is that I wanted to buy a computer deadly at that time, and he refused me. Almost from that time on, I told myself that I'll be a good father if I had my own children someday. And I am thinking how will I be a father. There will be things that I'll do the same as my father, as surely he has some very good traits and deeds. There will also be things that I will do differetly from what my father had done.
The Things that I Learnt from My Father
1 Read more and write more
One thing that I admire my father a lot was he had posted his articles on newspapers. My father likes reading a lot and we had a lot books in our small room. And he writes a lot. That's what I'll do as an example for my children. I'll read a lot, and write. I'll show my children that even as we are limited my our financial situation and our time, but by reading, we can still know more about the world, and enjoy all the varisties of the universe. And by writing, I'll show them how to meditate about our life and the world, and how to express us to the world and to the future.
2 Be brave
Though I don't have a rich father, but I have a brave father. My father is a teacher in a middle school. But he is not an ordinary teacher. He had our the mayor of our city visited his class and the students in his class can write to the mayor. He had a little liberary in had class, and all the students can borrow books. He quit his job at his 30s, and found a wine factory. Though he didn't succeed in it, his spirit inspired me a lot.?
As for me, I'll be brave too. I'll try every chance possible in my life, take the due risks, and strive to be the person I want to be in my life.
3 Pursuit dreams
I don't know exactly my father's dream is, but I am sure he has his own dream, and that's what inspried him. I have my own dreams. I haven't thought it clearly yet, but I am sure once I am clear, I'll spare no efforts for my dream!
The Things that I'll Do differetly
1 I'll never try to control my children's mind and behaviors
One thing I hate a lot is that my father are trying to control me all the time when I was younger. I resist it hard, and hate it most as I feel I don't have the freedom of doing what I want to do. I have my own aim in life, and I'll follow it and do things at my own will. So are my children.
2 I'll never tell my children he is weak of unpatiance.
My father told me that I was a very smart person. I was just too lazy and not persistent. When I am a father, I'll tell my children that we are not smart enought. We can never be smart enough. There will always be people that smarter than us. What determines a person's life-long acheivement is not his intelligence, but his will and courage and persistence. If you are willing and persistent, and if you put enough time and attention into it, you'll make a difference in life and even in the society.
3 I'll share my emotions and thought with them more
I'll share my emotions and thoughts with my children, and encourage them to share them with me. Even I am sad, I am hopeless, I'll tell them, and I'll let them know that even father is tired, even father is not a superman, father can still protect you, and father have no fear. It's ok to be aimless and hopeless sometime, but there is always a brighter side of everything, father will stand up and fight!
4 I'll play game and have fun with them
My father don't allow me to play games and read novels when I was a child. I think he was wrong. I was wrong at that time. I put too much time, and all my heart and soul to play Super Maria and Tank World. But it's not a mistake to play games sometimes, it's a good thing to have fun and enjoy myself in life. I'll tell my children that It's ok to play games, as long as you are not controlled by it. Father will play with you.?
It's must be not easy to be a father, let alone to be a good father. But I'll be a good father, because I really love my children and want them to live a happy life.
