Teachers become teachers, for the most part, because they know the personal joy that comes from facilitating learning for others. Teachers want to give students those same feelings and opportunities.

However, teaching is not easy; and teaching students with diverse backgrounds, learning styles, and ability levels is particularly difficult and challenging. Most teachers teach from their own experience, replicating the models of good teachers they have had. But increasingly, teachers are finding that this approach doesn’t work for all students.
但是教學(xué)并非易事,學(xué)生成長環(huán)境睹晒、學(xué)習(xí)方法和能力水平的差別更是平添了許多困難和挑戰(zhàn)趟庄。多數(shù)教師根據(jù)自己的經(jīng)驗(yàn)來教學(xué),模仿現(xiàn)有的優(yōu)秀教學(xué)案例伪很。但他們慢慢就會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)戚啥,這種方法并不適用于所有的學(xué)生。
Most teachers may have this experience: They planned a lesson and thought they taught it very well. Each activity was executed flawlessly. In the end, however, the students didn’t get it. They didn’t understand the concepts, they failed the tests, or they remained confused.
很多老師可能有過這樣的經(jīng)歷:按計(jì)劃進(jìn)行了一堂課锉试,自覺教學(xué)效果良好猫十,每一步都無懈可擊,最后卻發(fā)現(xiàn)學(xué)生還是沒有學(xué)會(huì)呆盖。有的是概念理解不透徹拖云,有的是考試不及格,還有的根本不知所云应又。
What went wrong? Was it the students’ fault? Do they need to take more responsibility for their own learning? Of course not, instead, dealing with these challenging questions owes to teaching strategies. Teachers must search for strategies that work.
那么到底是哪里出了問題?是學(xué)生的原因嗎?學(xué)生需要為學(xué)習(xí)承擔(dān)更多的責(zé)任嗎?當(dāng)然不是宙项,相反,教學(xué)方法才是解決這些挑戰(zhàn)性難題的關(guān)鍵株扛。教師必須找到行之有效的教學(xué)方法尤筐。
And resources should be given to teachers in order to refresh them on strategies so that they can include more variety in their repertoire or strengthen their current use of those teaching strategies. The introduction of new teaching strategies will make teaching more exciting and finally will surely lead students to higher levels of achievement.
