幾乎與莎士比亞同一時期渠概，英國一批年輕才俊組成了一個名叫“University Wits”的組織，致力于戲劇和詩歌的創(chuàng)作匿辩。他們不是畢業(yè)于劍橋鸡典，就是畢業(yè)于牛津源请，是一個實實在在的天才團(tuán)體。但不幸的是，天妒英才谁尸，他們幾乎都英年早逝舅踪，Christopher Marlowe活了29歲，Thomas Nashe活了33歲症汹，George Peele 30歲硫朦，Robert Greene 32歲贷腕。雖然帶著遺憾背镇，但他們的詩歌卻散發(fā)著文藝復(fù)興年輕人的活力，表達(dá)著他們的追求泽裳。

相比于馬洛，托馬斯?納什（Thomas Nashe）的名氣就小多了凰慈，他主要的成就在諷刺作品和宣傳手冊上汞幢，當(dāng)時他是一位寫小冊子的名家。當(dāng)然他也有漂亮的抒情詩微谓，如“Spring, Sweet Spring”和“Adieu, Farewell, Earth’s Bliss”森篷，其中第二首非常有意思：
