Another example of the risk inherent in this market is coming from a stock we recently purchased and got stopped out within just days due to our percentage stop being hit, confirmed by a quick proliferation of violations leading up to 8/25 (see Monalert). The stock plunged 63% yesterday!
Once again, the first loss was the best loss, and big gaps can come from stocks that look questionable, as well as from stocks that meet all the necessary criteria.?
Remember, half of your trades will NOT work out as planned. The key is to keep your losses on these trades to a minimum and at a fraction of your expected gain. Stock don't manage themselves. You are the manager. So make sure you manage!
