Abstract:That science fiction future where robots can do what people and animals do may be closer than you think. Marc Raibert, founder of Boston Dynamics, is developing advanced robots that can gallop like a cheetah, negotiate 10 inches of snow, walk upright on two legs and even open doors and deliver packages. Join Raibert for a live demo of SpotMini, a nimble robot that maps the space around it, handles objects, climbs stairs -- and could soon be helping you out around the house. @TED

The most advancing robot performed on TED stage
3 things to to build robots that can do what people and animals do:
- balance and dynamic mobility
- the second one is mobile manipulation
- and the third one is mobile perception.

Comment:
The performance of robots in the videos and on stage are amazing. The robot tech is developing rapidly but I know nothing about it. I would recommend everyone watch this video to appreciate what modern robots can accomplish and get the feeling of beauty and excitement from it.
