Vermont is a state in the northeastern part of New England,It borders Massachusetts in the south,New York in the west,Quebec in the north.
The climate features long winter and short summer, temperature and precipitation vary greatly due to the terrain. Winter snow in the valley is generally 1700mm ~ 2000mm, while the precipitation in the mountain area is as high as 2800mm. The precipitation in the east and west is 860mm, and the precipitation in the mountain area is 1000mm. The temperature in winter can drop below - 34 ℃, rarely more than 32 ℃ in summer.
In 2000 vermont had 608,827 residents. The capital is montpellier and the largest city is burlington. Vermont has one of the smallest populations in the United States. About 96.8 percent were white, 0.5 percent were black, 0.4 percent were Indian and 0.9 percent were Asian.

Vermont has a state-funded orchestra and the Blanche Moyse choir in Brattleboro. The state's summer concerts include the Marlborough festival at Marlborough college, the New England Bach festival in Brattleboro and the vermont Mozart festival in Champlain. Theater and dance performances are held in communities throughout the state.when I went to there,I have been to this place,it's cool,I think although it is a small place,but it can bring us big surprise.
