The title is a topic from one of our English Corners.Yeah, there are reasons to support either answer.I can't choose my side.Things can't be that simple .What is important really depends.
No matter how, if something matters ,it's important to you.Experience, happiness, friendship, success, promotion and so many other things could be important to different people. If we gain them through process, then process matters .If we gain them through result ,then result matters.
I can understand those who think process mathers.Result is like an uncertain future thing which we can't control .Process is ?the current moment ?which we can take advantage of .So what they do is to seize the moment and wait for the result naturally coming.
If I think in the opposite side's shoes, what's on their mind also makes sense.Good results probably reflect what we do is on the right track.Bad outcome possilbly is reponse to shit work. These days, people may only have time or are only willing to check the last part ,which always stands for what they can get.In this way ,who could say ?tresult carries little weight.
All I wish is you can roll with punches.
