Recently, I have read many posts about the reward of studying English, honestly, mainly about the income of a English job, the reality is disappointed as the average salary is about 2K per month, it’s really hard for one guy to live in the metropolitan city, then how about our future, how about our families and child. Do I need to continue studying English or not? Many of us may puzzled.
But I think it’s really worthy to studying it in my whole life.
Yes, many graduated are hard to find a English specialized job, as there are so many colleges and so many students in China, the situation could be even harsher for the other English fans. What I wand to say is:
1. If my English is good enough, I could even find a job abroad, like Australia an US. The salary in those developed country is much higher than here. I heard about that a programmer could earn more than 10k per month in Australia, it’s almost 5 times than work in China. I haven’t examined this rumor as I have a toddler to care of in these years, if not, I’ll try it without hesitate, have you imaged that, good environment, democratic society, high salary, and so on, all of them means a well-being life.
2. I can enjoy the entertainment better. English is the most popular language in the world, there are a lot of excellent songs, movies, fictions are from English speaking countries, e.g. Eminem, Katty Perry, FireFly, the god father, star wars.
3. My thinking style has being opener since I began to study English. I have to say, the foreign people are more opener that us in any aspect, like humanity, sex, history, government, belief and so on. When I study the English material, I might be influenced by their thoughts and spirit.
4. I always feel good with this good hobby. Everyone needs some hobbies for pastime, my wife like Korea TV serials, my dad always browse news for fun, my mom like native TV serials, many of my peers like computer games which I also been adopted in them very much. For me, I really appreciate myself for this positive habit, English articles, English novels, English songs, English movies, I think I even find a new world for this.
