And perhaps we‘ve forgotten the courage it took for the crew of the shuttle. But they, the Challenger Seven, were aware of the dangers, but overcame them and did their jobs brilliantly. We mourn seven heroes: Michael Smith, Dick Scobee, Judith Resnik, Ronald McNair, Ellison Onizuka, Gregory Jarvis, and Christa McAuliffe. We mourn their loss as a nation together.? ?

They wished to serve, and they did. They served all of us.? ?

It‘s all part of taking a chance and expanding man‘s horizons. The future doesn‘t belong to the fainthearted; it belongs to the brave. The Challenger crew was pulling us into the future, and we‘ll continue to follow them.? ?

In his lifetime the great frontiers were the oceans, and a historian later said, “He lived by the sea, died on it, and was buried in it.” Well, today, we can say of the Challenger crew: Their dedication was, like Drake‘s, complete.? ?

背景故事：
1986年1月28日上午11時39分，美國"挑戰(zhàn)者號"航天飛機在執(zhí)行第10次航空任務(wù)栈拖，在發(fā)射升空72.34秒后爆炸解體连舍。機上7名機組人員喪命。
超過1000名美國人親眼目睹了爆炸過程涩哟，其中包括不少兒童索赏。
從左至右分別是：埃里森·奧尼佐卡、邁克爾·史密斯贴彼、科里斯塔·麥考利芙参滴、弗朗西斯·斯科比、格里高利·杰維斯锻弓、羅納德·麥克奈爾砾赔、朱蒂絲·雷斯尼克。
面對這場突如其來的悲劇青灼，美國陷入一片悲哀中暴心。
這是美國56次載人航天飛行中第一次爆炸事件，是美國宇航員第一次在飛行中死亡杂拨。"挑戰(zhàn)者號"爆炸后专普，美國舉國哀悼，世界震驚弹沽，當時美國總統(tǒng)里根發(fā)表了全國性的的電視講話檀夹，發(fā)表了充滿力量的演講《真正的英雄》。
