Struggle is necessary and indispensable for our progress. Mentius once said people are thriving when it is difficult, and decay when it is comfortable. So struggle makes a great different to human's progress. When something difficult happens in our life, we unconsciously ignite our potential to struggle and then we will be strengthened and more potent.
Struggle is vital to keep us invigorated to transcend our limits. As we all know, Huge, a successful actor in China, was once plunged into difficulty by car accident, which makes a scar on his eyebrow. But Huge never give up and instead take advantage of difficulty to develop himself. By reading classic books, polishing his actor skills and practicing English speech, he slowly got rid of the ominous cloud of pain and self-sorrow and achieved great success in his works. Thus, struggle makes a person life meaningful and colorful.
A person makes a great progress by struggling, so does a country. From a historical perspective, when a country has a rival, this country will be stronger. Tang dynasty, through defeating Xixia, Qidan– countries in inland, made a thriving era; Hang dynasty, through rivaling Xiongnu–the country that is always wage wars against Hang dynasty, left a colorful hertiage to descendants. Thus, struggling not only strengthens human, but also a country.
In short, struggle makes a great contribution to progress. A human can be resurrected from struggle, a country can reinstate its place in the world after a struggle.
