主要還是以前筆記的復(fù)習(xí)忽舟，按照不同內(nèi)容整理歸納了一下，方便統(tǒng)一記憶现拒。
今天先簡單說說容易混淆或者用錯的詞的第一部分。
1望侈，Worth 和 Worthy印蔬，表示值得
以下內(nèi)容來自常用詞疑難用法手冊。
①worth 可作n. / adj.
(1) 作adj.時【用法同介詞】：不能單獨(dú)作表語脱衙，比如：不能說 This is worth. 只能說 worth five yuan 或者 worth doing/worth sth侥猬；
例句
The museum is certainly worth a visit.
這家博物館的確值得參觀。
This idea is well worth considering.
這個想法很值得考慮捐韩。
關(guān)于worth doing：一定是主動語態(tài)退唠，但意思是被動的。
比如：This is worth doing.（不能說 This is worth being done.但意思表達(dá)的是荤胁，值得被做瞧预，被動）;
如果意思是主動的，那也不行，比如：I am worth publishing my poems. 這里的publishing是主動的意思垢油，也不對盆驹。
怎么改呢？應(yīng)該是：it’s worthwhile for me to publish my poems. 或者是：My poems are worth publishing.
關(guān)于worth 和 worthwhile滩愁，前者用 well躯喇，不用 very;
(2) 作n.時：money+worth+of+sth
表示價值(多少錢)的東西:
例句
The winner will receive ten pounds' worth of books.
獲勝者將得到價值十英鎊的書籍。
② Worthy 可作n. / adj.
詞組：be worthy of 值得
否定：be not worthy of / be unworthy of
2硝枉，Remain廉丽，Retain，Leave檀咙，表示留雅倒、剩
remain用法很多，很容易混弧可，切記蔑匣，沒見過的用法就別生造，remain正確的用法有：
①什么都不加
Little of the original building remains.
原來的建筑已經(jīng)所剩無幾棕诵。
The score is tied, with fifteen minutes remaining.
現(xiàn)在比分相同裁良，比賽還剩十五分鐘。
②+adj/n
We remained friends.
我們還是朋友校套。
The boy remained silent .
男孩依然默不作聲价脾。
③+從句，that可省略
I feel sorry for her, but the fact remains (that) she lied to us.
我為她感到難過,可事實(shí)是她對我們?nèi)隽酥e笛匙。
④+to be done
It remains to be seen (= it will only be known later) whether you are right.
你說得對不對還有待證實(shí)侨把。
⑤+prep/adv
The plane remained on the ground.
飛機(jī)仍未起飛。
She left, but I remained behind.
她走了,而我留了下來妹孙。
Retain
to keep sth; to continue to have sth
保持秋柄；持有；保留蠢正；繼續(xù)擁有
原來就有骇笔，現(xiàn)在仍然有（一樣的東西）
例句
He struggled to retain control of the situation.
他曾努力保持對局勢的控制。
The house retains much of its original charm.
這所房子保留了許多原有的魅力嚣崭。
Leave
in a sum, to have a particular amount remaining
剩下笨触，余:
Three from seven leaves four.
七減三余四。
原文出處:
軟銀將減持4個百分點(diǎn)雹舀，保留這家中國網(wǎng)絡(luò)電商28%的股份芦劣。
這里的保留，很多人寫了retain葱跋，完全理解為字面意思持寄，沒有仔細(xì)思考源梭，其實(shí)應(yīng)該是原來是32%娱俺，減了4個百分點(diǎn)稍味，剩28%，leave最合適荠卷。Retain核心意思是to continue have sth模庐，原來多少，現(xiàn)在還保留多少油宜。
3掂碱，cost、expend慎冤、spend疼燥，表示花費(fèi)
①Cost的主語不可能是人，沒有這樣的表達(dá)蚁堤，都是什么事/物+cost醉者，表示花費(fèi)；
詞組：at the cost of 以…為代價披诗；
at all costs 不惜任何代價撬即，無論如何；
②expend+money的表達(dá)不如 spend+money普遍呈队；
③Spend money on + n./doing剥槐；
4，Economy宪摧，economical(ly)粒竖，economic，economist 表示經(jīng)濟(jì)
① economy N./ADJ.
1）作可數(shù)名詞時几于， 表示國家或地區(qū)的經(jīng)濟(jì)/經(jīng)濟(jì)狀況蕊苗，復(fù)數(shù)： economies（表示多國或多地區(qū)的經(jīng)濟(jì)）；
還可以表示精打細(xì)算：make economies孩革；
2）作不可數(shù)n.時岁歉，表示節(jié)約、節(jié)儉膝蜈；
3）作adj.時锅移，表示經(jīng)濟(jì)的、便宜的饱搏；
（an economy: 一件節(jié)約的事）
注意非剃，economy還可以表示國家
[C] a country, when you are thinking about its economic system
(就經(jīng)濟(jì)體制而言)國家；
例句
Ireland was one of the fastest-growing economies in Western Europe in the 1990s.
在 20 世紀(jì) 90 年代愛爾蘭是西歐經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展最快的國家之一推沸。
② economical ADJ.
經(jīng)濟(jì)的备绽、節(jié)省的券坞、簡練的；
（Economical with the truth: 謊話連篇的）
③ economic ADJ.
1) 與經(jīng)濟(jì)有關(guān)的肺素，經(jīng)濟(jì)上的恨锚； Ecomonic policy 經(jīng)濟(jì)政策
2) 有收益的，有贏利的倍靡；
3) 節(jié)約的猴伶，節(jié)儉的；
4) （學(xué)科）與經(jīng)濟(jì)有關(guān)的塌西； economic history 經(jīng)濟(jì)史
④ economist N. 經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)家
其中他挎，economy和economic是最常用的。
5捡需，Merge办桨，acquisition， consolidation站辉，表示合并
Merge：If two or more things become one, they merge.(兩個變一個)
Acquisition：an act of purchase of one company by another.(收購呢撞，一個買另外一個)
Consolidation：
Anywhere there’s consolidation , there’s merging, joining, and combining.(本意是加強(qiáng)鞏固，也有合并的意思:The merger of two or more commercial interests or corporations.)
原文出處：
康菲石油是由美國康納和石油公司和菲利普斯石油公司于2002年合并而成立庵寞。
這里的合并是指兩家公司合并變?yōu)橐患夜纠晗啵裕@里最恰當(dāng)捐川、最大眾的詞還是merge脓鹃。
還有人寫了combine，integrate：
Combine也能說得通古沥，它主要表示聯(lián)合起來瘸右，我覺得如果這里表達(dá)強(qiáng)強(qiáng)聯(lián)手（為了一個目的）倒是合適，但是說“合并”貌似不夠精確岩齿。
Integrate也有使合并的意思太颤，使公司業(yè)務(wù)合并等，但我認(rèn)為主要表達(dá)的思想還是和combine類似：
if two or more things integrate, or if you integrate them, they combine or work together in a way that makes something more effective
（使）合并盹沈，（使）結(jié)合〔從而變得更有效〕:
例句
The idea with young children is to integrate learning with play.
對幼兒的理念是寓教于樂龄章。
總之，如果說兩家公司合并乞封，最簡單準(zhǔn)確的詞做裙，就是merge。
