Today is Tuesday.
I am going to read another book in my list, Harry the Dirty Dog.
Harry was a white dog with black spots who liked everything, except, getting a bath. So one day when he heard the water running into the tub, he took the scrubbing brush and burried it in the garden. He ran out to play in the street being fixed and made himself dirty. He played at the railroad and got dirtier. He played tag with other dogs and got dirtier. He slid down the coal chute and got the dirtiest of all. As a matter of fact, he became a black dog with white spots. He felt hungry and ran home. When he came back and ran into the backyard. One of the family looked out and said,"There was a strange dog in our backyard. " Harry heard that and wanted to let them know he was Harry. He played many tricks which he always played, but no one realized he was Harry. He was upset and wanted to leave. Suddenly he thought about something and dug out the scrubbing brush. He took it to the bathroom. He jumped into the bathtub and sat up begging with the scrubbing brush in his mouth, a trick he certainly had never done before. The kids said,"He seems to want to take a bath." The boy and the girl washed Harry and brushed him. They finally recognized that he was their white dog with black spots, Harry. It was wonderful to be home. After dinner, Harry fell asleep in his favorite place, happily dreaming of how much fun it had been getting dirty. He slept so soundly, he didn’t even feel the scrubbing brush he’d hidden under his pillow.
