[Introduction]
The Sichuan Copper Coin is the currency cast by the local government of Sichuan Province during the late Qing and Beiyang periods. Due to the lack of silver and copper mines in Sichuan Province and the separation of warlords after the Revolution of 1911, the central government’s “Currency Regulations” on the proportion of raw materials for copper coins and the denomination of copper coins were not strictly observed. The circulation of Sichuan copper coins is very large, resulting in high prices and affecting the economy. development of. The Sichuan copper coin was opened in June of the Guangxu twenty-ninth year (1903). It was only after the circulation of the legal currency in November of the Republic of China (1935) that it gradually withdrew from circulation.
The Sichuan copper coin pattern is clear, and the history of the vicissitudes of life is evident in its body. Although it is a copper coin, after years of baptism, it radiates a pale golden light, which is very beautiful. In the front central bead ring, there are four characters of “Sichuan Copper Coin”, which are arranged up and down and left and right, and the center is decorated with Hibiscus pattern. The upper circle of the bead circle "The military government made" four characters, the lower edge indicates the value of the currency, and the left and right are decorated with flower stars. The central circle on the back of the copper coin is a book of "Han" characters, and the "Han" word has dozens of horizontal straight lines at the bottom. Therefore, the coin collectors also call it the "Han" word copper. The "Han" circle is surrounded by 18 small circles, representing the 18 provinces at that time. Putting 18 small circles around the "Han" characters into one, implying that the people of the eighteen provinces unite and fight together for "expulsion and recovery of China." It bears the distinctive imprint of the era of the Revolution of 1911 and witnesses the magnificent revolutionary history. The "Sichuan Copper Coin (Wrong Edition)" is a rare treasure. The ancient coins are extremely rare in the world, and the wrong version of the coin is rare in the coin at that time. It is rare to be circulated so far. It is worth seeing and worth collecting.
