? ? ?I still remember my first day at college, I was so pure and innocent. Since then, four years has passed and I have built my own thinking and am eager to make money on my own. But I do not know how... I have some friends in college, maybe not very close, but I am still willing to listen to their stories. Some went to big cities in China to fight for their dreams and make others jealous of their courage. Some went back home to live with their parents and live a peaceful life. Some went on to start up their own company with a family fund, but still hesitate to take action because they don't have a plan. Some are just laying in bed all the time, playing with their cellphones, without any blueprint for the future; maybe their parents have already settled down jobs for them, but we don't know. These are the typical situations that are happening for senior students in college. I know we are eager to prove ourselves, but we do not have any impetus to push us forward. I know we try to prove our abilities to other classmates in order to make them believe that we can be successful, but, the truth is without adequate preparation we are vulnerable to lose our mind in the unknown society.
? ? ? Before we step into an unfamiliar world, we should have a bright goal and some principles to guide us. If we do not have them, we could form bad habits and make some bad friends (which we may not find out immediately, but once we do, we need to pay for the mistakes we made). You may be thinking to yourself, "But it is difficult to make everyone embrace a clear goal or some principles in their early twenties." But the problem is easy to deal with. Remember when you first learned how to walk on your own when you were little? You weren't aware of what was going on, and you never expected every step you made after. After we grow up, we fear the thought of trying something new, but we dare to take challenges. We tend to stay in our comfort zones until we get the courage to make that next step and let go of trying to control the unpredictable situations.
? ? ? So, here are my pieces of advice: always be hungry to learn from others, have a 3-5 year plan and discuss it with someone wiser than you, maybe friends or professors. But most importantly, you should never hesitate to follow your plan, taking baby steps one at a time. Always be humble to learn a lesson from someone who is more experienced than you in certain areas. These people are valuable because they can guide so that you can avoid making stupid mistakes and help you save your time on your path to success. Please remember no matter how big your dream is, you can achieve anything by just taking baby steps.
