The most valuable thing this story told us was what's the real need of young ladies in love. When Princess Ann first left the journalist, she borrowed 1000 lira from him, with those money she bought a pair of comfortable shoes first, then a good snack, and received a bunch of flower for free. And the climax of this movie was when the young couple were found in the party and they fought and escaped from the round up.
The director of this movie really knew young beautiful ladies well, I thought.
Girls, when they were young, they were told to be obedient and gentle, to be like a nice lady, away from anything out of line in their parents' thinking. So when they grew up, it appeared she was just like her parents wish, a young beautiful lady and would never lack of pursuers and flowers. But no one cared about what's her real need. So once she got a chance to live her own life, she made her best choices, a man never told her what she should do but follow her heart, a pair of comfortable shoes which could help to go more places. And also they would never refuse the attraction of delicious food when they're enjoying the adventures in new world.
I always wished that the princess can follow her heart, until I watched another movie, my dream of the loved people getting together came ture. Its name was An Autumn'Tale.
