1.「grateful」：常見(jiàn)的意思是“感激的，感謝的”苟弛，此處指的是“令人獲得快意的；受歡迎的”阁将。
原句：The shade was grateful, and the tree was so easy to climb that with my teacher’s assistance I was able to scramble to a seat in the branches.
e.g. The light breeze is so grateful that I suddenly pull myself together.
2.「fork」：常見(jiàn)的意思是“餐叉膏秫，叉子”，由這個(gè)常見(jiàn)意思可以想到文章里的“（樹(shù)的）分杈處”的意思冀痕；再引申一下荔睹，還有“（河流的）岔口狸演，岔路”的意思言蛇。
原句：I crouched down in the fork of the tree.
e.g. She climbed up to the treetop and sat on one of the fork.
3.「mere」：常見(jiàn)的意思是“僅僅僻他，只不過(guò)”，這里是指something which is small or not extreme has a big effect or is important用于表示某物雖小或微不足道腊尚，卻有很大的影響或重要性吨拗。
