原文:
天下有道牺氨，卻走馬以糞狡耻，天下無道，戎馬生于郊猴凹。
譯文:
治理天下合乎“道”夷狰，就可以作到太平安定，把戰(zhàn)馬退還到田間給農(nóng)夫用來耕種郊霎。治理天下不合乎“道”沼头，連懷胎的母馬也要送上戰(zhàn)場，在戰(zhàn)場的郊外生下馬駒子歹篓。
我的翻譯:
If the leader governs his kindom with Dao,
the war horses can be returned to farmers'
field to cultivate.
If the leader governs his kindom without
Dao, even the pregnant mares should be
sent to the battlefield and give birth to
a horse in the countryside.
