The more i recap, the more i feel happy. One of the key reasons is i get the full support from all the participants. Not only they provided the feedback in the meeting but also joined the after-meeting survey which really inspired me a lot. Thank you very much. Time control
Today we finished the meeting 2 mintus ahead of the agenda, really a big progress compared with the delayed ones. Though it was a pity siince the two mintues can also be used to share valuable ideas and thoughts, still personally i thought we did good job on the overall time management. Also, cheers for the Datangers whose awareness of deliver the message at the end of the speech developed. The ending sometimes weight more than the beginning. Let's work on that altogether.
Do something different
Have you ever questioned the practice we did in Toastmaster regular meeting? Maybe yes, but i guess not very often.
Today, the table topic master Carol showed innovative action would still contribute big sucess. Dabate featured table topic rule plus the most heated topic really made the section hot and highly appreciated by the participants and audience. And the Joke master part, dare you challenge yourself to deliver an impromptu speech based on the non-related words provided by the audience on site? Carol did this part hilariously. Besides, Jerry (GE) and Molly (Timer) also did their jobs in an different way. That felts so refreshed.
In DATMC, we think, we do and we rethink to creat something new.
We are what we speak
Based on the comments from our distinguihsed meeting participants last time, we immediately put some of the advices which are suitable to us at the current situatuion into practice, such as elbow strike and feedback to GE. Though they were big actions but well showed our spirt to listen to others, and buy in what are suitable for us and most importantly value the ideas shared in DATMC. Takiing this opportunity, sincerely invite more and more friends come and share with us your brilliant thoughts.
We are far more than what we think
Lunck talk is a interesting tradition in DATMC after the regular meeting, but today the officer group photo shooting shined more bright. The officers not only could organize the meetings efficiently but also can dance gorgeously. The who are the most charming dancers among the officers? Guess hard, and stay tuned. Leave flexible time for the pannel discussion for prepared speakers, may depends on the quantity of prepared speakers.
Great speakers could share how he prepare his or her speech such as structure and punchlines.
Very personally I think we can considerremove joke master section. Every time I feel like? we just follow this regulation but rarely hit joke purpose. Today it is made by innovative way but I have to say it is good way for TT but not for joke master.
Do something differently, especially in such an environment which you are quite familiar with. We need to think out of the box and do something different.
DATMC is open for all the great thinkers and speakers. We truely respect the voices and appreciate sharings. Follow what are most suitable for DATMC is always what we? persue. Big thanks again to all the feedback contributers.
