To be honest, it is a little difficult for me to show my opinions against this topic as an elder employee. In fact, time management is very important for everyone and it is the compulsory course in the college. As we know, time management issue directly affect students’ growing. I imagine there are two reasons affecting their time management.
First, unclear personal goals cause them wasting many times. Some students look very busy and take more time to read in the library, but they don’t know how to balance limited time to gain their expertise. For example, when I was a student, I only studied harder to my favorite subjects, such as math and physic, so I took less time on learning English. At that time, I tended to think that English skill would not be used in my work due to my introversion. However, I realized my mistakes when I worked. In fact, as a student, I should take time to balance all subjects of my major. So, it’s very wise that students can’t pay close attention to the course they favorite, because they never know what the future will happen.
On the other hand, students need to manage their time between learning and working part time. Sometimes, some students concern about the society experiences very much, but they ignore the importance of their major. From my experiences, some of my classmates worked part time during the university. When they attended the examination as usual, they often improvised reading the textbooks before the exam time. Though their scores were passed sometimes, they didn’t gain the effective knowledge. Of course, it’s necessary for students to work part time when they have enough time after finishing the subjects or they are required by their teachers according to the majors. During the college, students need to take more time to learn the knowledge. After all, they only have four years in the college without any other personal family’s influence. When they work in the society or have a baby, it’s more difficult to return to the school for learning.
