這一章讀下來(lái)給我印象最深的便是Winston十幾年前的那種草木皆兵的狀態(tài)铜靶，與他現(xiàn)在內(nèi)心的蠢蠢欲動(dòng)形成了鮮明對(duì)比。
Winston開(kāi)始“付諸行動(dòng)”——為O'Brien去寫(xiě)日記丰滑。這位O'Brien是被他想象出來(lái)的還是真實(shí)存在的，亦或已經(jīng)消失？不然為什么Winston覺(jué)得這日記像是一封沒(méi)人會(huì)讀卻又有特定接收對(duì)象的信曾棕。
It was like an interminable letter which no one would ever read, but which was addressed to a particular person and took its colour from that fact.
但不管怎樣他鼓起勇氣想要去捍衛(wèi)那些真實(shí)的東西。
Truisms are true, hold on to that!
篡改歷史菜循、誣陷同志翘地、洗腦灌輸?shù)赛h內(nèi)行徑，加之曾被他寄希望的群眾的作為癌幕，都讓W(xué)inston深刻地意識(shí)到：
Until they become conscious they will never rebel, and until after they have rebelled they cannot become conscious.
我終于開(kāi)始期待Winston的這本日記衙耕，他能否以此開(kāi)始反擊，還是很快將淪為犧牲品序芦，現(xiàn)在還只有胡亂猜測(cè)臭杰。
此外粤咪，本章有兩個(gè)有關(guān)群眾的比喻也令我覺(jué)得震撼谚中，因?yàn)椴豢伤甲h。其一是對(duì)掙脫了羈絆卻一盤(pán)散沙的群眾神態(tài)的描述：
When he had reached the spot it was to see a mob of two or three hundred women crowding round the stalls of a street market, with faces as tragic as though they had been the doomed passengers on a sinking ship.
其二是對(duì)群眾地位的對(duì)等形容：
Proles and animals are free.
