牝常以靜勝牡尚揣，以靜為下涌矢。故大邦以下小邦，則取小邦惑艇；小邦以下大邦蒿辙，則取大邦。
譯文:
雌柔動(dòng)物常以柔靜制服雄性動(dòng)物滨巴，原因就在于它安靜守定并謙下退讓思灌。所以，大國(guó)對(duì)小國(guó)謙下忍讓恭取，就可以取得小國(guó)的信任和依賴泰偿；小國(guó)對(duì)大國(guó)謙下忍讓，就可以取得大國(guó)的信賴蜈垮。

A female animal? often conquers a male
animal by quiescence and concession.
So,in the same way,a big country? can win
the trust? of a small one as well as a small
country can? also win the trust of great one.
