第一章 RUN-奔跑睛驳，講述了在一個(gè)星期天做完禮拜回家路上， 小巴士的兇惡的司機(jī)與母親因種族歧視起沖突稿械，心生歹意选泻，生死關(guān)頭，母親果敢的將Trevor推出飛馳的小巴士美莫，自己護(hù)住另一個(gè)孩子跳出巴士页眯，逃跑求生的故事。
第一章讓我看到了媽媽的虔誠信仰和堅(jiān)強(qiáng)厢呵。 My mother is as stubborn as she is religious.
每周日去教堂做禮拜并不是愉悅的郊游窝撵，去教堂路途遙遠(yuǎn)， Trevor家的汽車還經(jīng)常掉鏈子襟铭， 換成公共交通之后更是折磨加倍忿族，每次回家時(shí)，Trevor 的狀態(tài)是 “ I'd collapse into bed“- 徹底累癱了蝌矛。
所以道批，開頭那句“ “we never missed church.”? 讀完第一章之后，再來看這個(gè) never入撒，心底是無比震撼的隆豹。除了疲憊，還有一路上可能遇到的各種危險(xiǎn)茅逮，要克服所有種種璃赡，達(dá)到 never，非一般的意志力和堅(jiān)強(qiáng)能做到献雅，這就是母親信仰的力量碉考。
說到Trevor，熊孩子太逗了挺身，書里寫的他的那些感受侯谁，讓你覺得很真實(shí)，他就是讓你笑里有淚。說到做禮拜墙贱，他是這么總結(jié)的：“Christian karaoke, badass action stories, and violent faith healers—man, I loved church.” 第一個(gè)教堂就是集體唱K热芹，第二教堂就是看武俠故事，第三個(gè)就是現(xiàn)場版暴力驅(qū)魔惨撇。
另外形容和媽媽之間的關(guān)系伊脓，是 Tom and Jerry. ??
一些小細(xì)節(jié)也能看出Trevor也是個(gè)非常聰明的孩子：

另外，Trevor 會很巧妙自然的在一段話中加入一兩句魁衙，好像是輕描淡寫順口一提报腔，但是內(nèi)容卻不是日常小事。 比如寫到家里汽車啟動不了剖淀，寫到了二手車榄笙，然后寫出下面這段? “A secondhand car was also the reason my mom got married...who tortured us for years and put a bullet in the back of my mother’s head—I’ll take the new car with the warranty every time.”? 跳出童年的Trevor，插入成年Trevor的口吻來敘述祷蝌。 讓你暫時(shí)跳出故事停一停茅撞， 埋下一個(gè)種子，接著再繼續(xù)巨朦。
