When the heart is hard and parched up, come upon me with a shower of mercy.
When grace is lost from life, come with a burst of song.
When tumultuous work raises its din on all sides shutting me out from beyond, come to me, my lord of silence, with thy peace and rest.
When my beggarly heart sits crouched, shut up in a corner, break open the door, my king, and come with the ceremony of a king.
When desire blinds the mind with delusion and dust, O thou holy one, thou wakeful, come with thy light and thy thunder.

當(dāng)心田堅(jiān)硬焦枯备徐，請(qǐng)降以慈悲的甘霖。
當(dāng)生命失去榮光，請(qǐng)帶來(lái)激情的歡歌。
當(dāng)繁瑣的工作在四周喧騰，使我與世隔絕播掷，我寧?kù)o的主，請(qǐng)帶著平靜與安息降臨撼班。
當(dāng)我乞求的心蜷坐在角落歧匈，我的王，請(qǐng)帶著王的威儀破門(mén)而入权烧。
當(dāng)欲望以虛妄和塵埃蒙蔽心靈眯亦，圣者啊，你依然清醒般码，帶著閃電和雷鳴降臨妻率。

孟加拉語(yǔ)原作為《獻(xiàn)歌集》第58首。此詩(shī)可與第36首對(duì)照閱讀板祝。
當(dāng)人心田焦枯時(shí)宫静，需要滋潤(rùn)。陷入困境時(shí)券时，需要振作的激情孤里。被瑣事困住時(shí)，需要平靜和休息橘洞。畏縮不前時(shí)捌袜，需要沖決的勇氣。面對(duì)欲望時(shí)炸枣，需要警醒虏等。
詩(shī)人希望神能給予這一切。而我們通過(guò)閱讀詩(shī)人的作品間接獲取适肠。

This is my prayer to thee, my lord--strike, strike at the root of penury in myheart.
Give me the strength lightly to bear my joys and sorrows.
Give me the strength to make my love fruitful in service.
Give me the strength never to disown the poor or bend my knees before insolent might.
Give me the strength to raise my mind high above daily trifles.
And give me the strength to surrender my strength to thy will with love.

主霍衫，這是我對(duì)你的祈求——請(qǐng)你鏟除，鏟除我心中貧乏的根源侯养。
賜我力量敦跌，讓我從容承受歡樂(lè)和悲傷。
賜我力量逛揩，讓我的愛(ài)在服務(wù)中豐收柠傍。
賜我力量麸俘，讓我永不拋棄貧賤也永不向強(qiáng)權(quán)屈膝。
