今日翻譯打卡第15天燥滑，完成Unit Ten漢譯英的練習(xí)雹洗。這是老舍先生的一篇散文《養(yǎng)花》香罐，語言通俗，翻譯起來雖然比較順手时肿，可是英語的地道性還不夠庇茫，繼續(xù)加油~
1.我愛花，所以也愛養(yǎng)花螃成。我可還沒成為養(yǎng)花專家旦签，因?yàn)闆]有功夫去作研究與實(shí)驗(yàn)。
一般譯法：I love flowers and thus I love growing flowers. But I haven’t become an expert at flower growing because I don’t have enough time to do research and experiment.
優(yōu)質(zhì)譯法：I love flowers and hence have taken to growing them. But, short of time to do research and experiment in flower cultivation, I am no gardener at all.
技巧點(diǎn)撥：take to 表示“喜歡上寸宏，開始從事”宁炫，更地道地表達(dá)了前后句的邏輯關(guān)系〉“養(yǎng)花專家”直接翻譯為gardener羔巢，“沒有功夫”譯為short of time比don’t have time 更增加了句式靈活性。
2.在我的小院中罩阵，到夏天竿秆，滿是花草，小貓兒們只好上房去玩耍稿壁，地上沒有它們的運(yùn)動場幽钢。
一般譯法：When summer comes, there are full of flowers and plants in my little garden and cats can only play on the roof because there is no room for them on the ground.
優(yōu)質(zhì)譯法：In summer, flowers and plants growing in luxuriance in my small courtyard will leave little space for the little cats, so they have to sport about in our rooms instead.
技巧點(diǎn)撥：第一句簡單用and并列，前后因果關(guān)系不夠突出傅是，而第二句翻譯時首先用現(xiàn)在分詞作定語growing in luxuriance來修飾“花草”匪燕，主干部分用will leave little space for緊密地聯(lián)系了后半句蕾羊，英文結(jié)構(gòu)更清晰。另外谎懦，注意“上房”不是“去房頂”而是“去房間”肚豺。
3.北京的氣候，對養(yǎng)花來說界拦，不算很好吸申。冬天冷，春天多風(fēng)享甸，夏天不是干旱就是大雨傾盆截碴；秋天最好，可是忽然會鬧霜凍蛉威。
優(yōu)質(zhì)譯法：Beijing’s climate is more or less unfit for the growing of flowers, freezing in winter, windy in spring, and either too dry or too often visited by rainstorms in summer. While autumn is the best of all, it is often plagued by a sudden frost.
技巧點(diǎn)撥：注意“不算很好”的譯法日丹，一般直接譯成not so good太口語化，這里譯成more or less unfit蚯嫌。另外哲虾，“鬧霜凍”不太好處理，譯成be plagued by a sudden frost择示，plague一般意思為“n. 瘟疫束凑，災(zāi)難，v. 使苦惱”栅盲。
補(bǔ)充：“鬧笑話”make a fool of oneself汪诉；“鬧別扭”be difficult with somebody
4.(花兒)有的喜蔭，就別放在太陽地里谈秫，有的喜干扒寄，就別多澆水。
優(yōu)質(zhì)譯法：Some flowers which are accustomed to growing in the shade should not be too much exposed to the sun. Those which prefer dryness should not be watered too often.
技巧點(diǎn)撥：注意“喜蔭”一詞的譯法拟烫，另外“放在太陽地”譯作be exposed to the sun该编，翻譯時注意語言的準(zhǔn)確與地道性。
5.要是趕上狂風(fēng)暴雨或天氣突變哪硕淑，就得全家動員课竣，搶救花草，十分緊張喜颁。
一般譯法：If a rainstorm drops by or the weather changes in a sudden way, the whole family will take actions to rescue the flowers and plants, which is quite pressing.
優(yōu)質(zhì)譯法：In case of a violent storm or a sudden change of weather, the whole family will have to turn out to salvage the flowers and plants. Everybody will then feel keyed up.
技巧點(diǎn)撥：注意key up表示“使緊張不安”
6.有喜有憂稠氮，有笑有淚曹阔，有花有實(shí)半开，有香有色，既需勞動赃份，又長見識寂拆，這就是養(yǎng)花的樂趣奢米。
優(yōu)質(zhì)譯法：Joy and sorrow, laughter and tears, flowers and fruit, fragrance and color, manual labor and increased knowledge --- all these make up the joy of flower cultivation.
技巧點(diǎn)撥：翻譯時注意名詞詞組的并列。
