The wedding place of Price Harry and his wife Meghan Markle is the magnificent St George’s Chapel, a famous historical venue. This place where the couple are getting married will be very different from other wedding places. The chapel, a royal church steeped in history, has been a religious place of certain solemnity since the 15th century. As you head west out of London, you can see the great Windsor Castle, leading to the elegant St George’s Chapel, dedicated to the patron saint of England, George, since the 13th century. The building started in 1475 by Edward IV, and completed during the reign of Henry VIII 50 years later. Even though the castle is gray-colored, the new chapel was build of a beautiful warm-colored Cotsworld stone, and it is a glorious masterpiece of perpendicular Gothic architecture. There are prestigious chivalry presented by the canopies, and the extraordinary achievement of medieval craftsmanship shown by the elaborate stalls, canopies, and stained glass. The statue of King Edward III in the side-aisle is still well-preserved, and Edward had created his Knights of the Garter, which continues the symbolism and tradition, with an annual service in the Chapel. The George VI Memorial Chapel, an annex completed in 1969, was the first structural addition to the Chapel since 1528, and many royal people were buried there. In May 19 during Harry and Markle’s wedding, Meghan will sally along the long aisle of St George’s Chapel, with a huge number of audience. Harry and Meghan will probably to start their married life as a “duke” and a “duchess”.
