當晚18時許陡蝇，一輛由西雙版納勐往縣開往勐海縣的中型客車(無乘客)行至野象活動路段時拋錨哮肚，監(jiān)測人員立即對車輛駕駛員進行安全勸離登夫，然而駕駛員執(zhí)意留守車輛。之后不久绽左，野象迅速移動至中巴車邊悼嫉，用頭部撞擊車頭擋風玻璃，并在車身旁逗留至20時30分許方才離去拼窥，所幸未造成人員傷亡戏蔑。
