英英釋義：to become more strict, or to make something more strict
Toughen可以用于人或者物，還可以是a person, institution, or law toughens its policies, regulations, or punishments/penalties, it makes them firmer or stricter.
Toughen up means the same as toughen,toughen可以是及物動詞也可以是不及物動詞舔痕，同理toughen sth up/toughen up sth可以只是toughen up
