Today is Tuesday.
Amelia said to Jason,"I am a tourist too." "You are not. You are with me, " said Jason, "I'll give you the inside scoop." Jason was right. He knew everything funny in the town and they got many delicious snacks and samples that every kid would like to enjoy. Then they met their mothers in a swimming suit store and went to have pizza for dinner. The happier day made Amelia too tired to keep awake while Jason read his favorite book--Treasure Island--to her. Amelia was sure that she was dreaming when she saw Jason climbing down the bunk-bed ladder and then climbing out of the window.
The next morning, Jason was impossible to pry out of bed. The only thing that worked was the aroma of his mother’s waffles. As he was having the breakfast, his mother told him a good message that she had signed him and Amelia up a sailing lesson. The teacher was shy but once she started talking about boats, she came out of her shell. That means to become more outgoing and it is usually said of a shy or introverted person. Amelia was wary. The last thing that had come out of its shell had clamped on to her ear.
