Chinese universities record strong performance in graduate employment(畢業(yè)生就業(yè)), with 34 universities entering the world's top 500 universities for graduate employability, a latest ranking showed.
Tsinghua University ranked ninth while Peking University took the 20th spot, according to the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2019 released Tuesday by Quacquarelli Symonds, a British company specializing(專業(yè)congshi...) in education.
Among the 34 universities, 22 are from the Chinese mainland, eight from Taiwan and four from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
QS uses five indicators(指標(biāo))to compile(編輯) the ranking: employer reputation, alumni outcomes(校友發(fā)展), partnerships with employers, employer/student connections and graduate employment rate.
In this year's ranking, Peking University, with a score of 93.7 in alumni outcomes, ranked first in China and No 25 worldwide.
In the terms of partnerships(合作) with employers, Zhejiang University scored of 99.9, ranking second globally, followed by Tsinghua University (99.8).
Overall, Massachusetts Institute of Technology has been crowned(封王胞此,被認(rèn)為是) the best university in the world for graduate employability for the first time, followed by Stanford University and University of California, Los Angeles.
Comments: Students employability is a persuasive indicator of a university's competence. Undoubtedly, prestigious universities recruit the best students nationwide or even worldwide, thereby ensuring the quality of their graduates. With qualified teaching, these universities produce countless employers for top firms ad employers. It is the alumni that fundamentally determines the productivity of a university. Therefore, top universities always enjoy the best resources with the aid of their alumni.
