I have made two big decisions this year : one is to change my job, another is to become a member of TMC. Actually, I have known TMC more than 3 years, but I became a member only 2 months ago.

One weekend afternoon of 3 years ago, I was so boring that I tried to find activities from Duban, and I noticed No.1 TMC, then I knew Hanyang PIE.

At that time, I was still a single dog, no money, no interests,? no girlfriend. I had much time, but didn't know how to spend it. Meanwhile, I had been nearly 30yrs old, and I was anxious to find my partner. So I attended the toastmaster meeting to see if I was lucky.

Finally, I was introduced to my current wife, but by the other way, not in the club. Then we got married, and had our daughter. I attended the meeting less and less. Each time, I needed struggle much with myself to attend or not. I even quitted several times when I had stepped outside? home. Luckily, I always kept up with Hanyang PIE and didn't make it lost.

In July, l started my new occupation. Then I decided to become TMC member with the pure purpose-English learning.? I made a plan to make a speech or take a role at least one time each month, considering 600RMB.

To my surprise, I didn't miss any meeting for the past? two months. What's more, I have tried 5 different roles and made 4 speeches.

Before each meeting, my mentor would discuss with me the objectives and taught me practice experience. Now I considered how to make a good preparation, rather than attend or not.

Furthermore, during the preparation, I have learned a lot of skills, such as how to express myself, how to be a good listener, how to give feedback, how to evaluate,etc. Yesterday morning, I even disscussed with my mentor how I have used these skills on my latest colleagues sharing and how to make it better in future.

This is my first time to attend speech contest. My mentor always encouraged me to speak that I want to share most. From the 4 speeches that I have made, I found it's not to learn English, what's more, but also is a process to reflect myself.

In the 1st speech, I introduced myself, I saw the responsibility I need take. The 2nd one, I said change , I summarized a little change everyday you'll make big difference. The 3rd, I talked happiness, I found happiness is always around us. The 4th, I mentioned friendship in TMC, I recognized to express my appreciation. Now I'm making a speech as a member of TMC, I always reflect the intention to join TMC.

From the beginning to find my partner, then to learn English, then to improve communication skills. Now I find TMC is a wonderful platform to reflect myself, to be better.
