人們很難接受與已有知識(shí)和經(jīng)驗(yàn)相左的信息或觀念奕短，因?yàn)橐粋€(gè)人已有的知識(shí)和觀念都是經(jīng)過反復(fù)篩選的她紫。盡管很多知識(shí)和觀念是被灌輸?shù)募檬辏R(shí)的持有者對(duì)“被灌輸”這一事實(shí)往往毫無察覺渺鹦，就算察覺，也可能拒絕承認(rèn)栓票。人們更愿意相信自己擁有一定的判斷能力，不會(huì)被輕易糊弄愕够。

而歷史的真相，往往得透過福爾摩斯之眼亿傅，也即是福爾摩斯所謂的「鏈條理論」：從一滴水里媒峡，一個(gè)邏輯家可以推論出一片大西洋或一條尼加拉河。既使他從未看過或聽說過這兩個(gè)地方葵擎。
When you grow up you tend to get told the world is the way it is and you're life is just to live your life inside the world.
