INTRODUCTION-On the Uses of philosophy
1.The is a pleasure in philosophy, and a lure even in the mirages of metaphysics, which every student feels until the coarse necessities of physical exstence drag him from the height of thought into the mart of economic strife and gain.?
pleasure: 歡樂(lè)苞慢、歡愉监徘，哲學(xué)并不是枯燥也不是痛苦蕴掏，他要解決的是以苦得樂(lè)的境界世舰。
lure：有吸引力
mirages of metaphysics: 形而上學(xué)的海市蜃樓
coarse necessities： 粗俗的必要性
height of thought：思維的高山， 陽(yáng)春白雪嵌洼；仰望星空
mart of economic strife and gain：經(jīng)濟(jì)糾紛與獲得妻柒；（看翻譯成“柴米油鹽醬醋茶”）
引發(fā)的思考：
學(xué)習(xí)是不是快樂(lè)的？起先猫缭，學(xué)習(xí)是痛苦的葱弟，一方面是認(rèn)知的痛苦，渺茫和無(wú)知的痛苦猜丹；另一方面是從無(wú)知到有知到無(wú)知的痛苦芝加，每一次學(xué)習(xí)都要跳出自己的舒適區(qū)。然后學(xué)習(xí)也是快樂(lè)的射窒，學(xué)習(xí)帶來(lái)的快樂(lè)會(huì)體現(xiàn)在經(jīng)濟(jì)報(bào)酬藏杖、社會(huì)地位等，但是這種快樂(lè)是短暫的脉顿，所以它需要人們自己不斷的重新認(rèn)識(shí)自己再次起航蝌麸，追尋下一次歡愉。
孔子曰：“學(xué)而時(shí)習(xí)之艾疟，不宜樂(lè)乎”

2.Most of us have known some golden days in the June of life when philosophy was in fact what Plato calls it, "that dear delight" ; when the love of a modestly elusive Truth seemed more glorious, in comparably, than the lust for the ways of the flesh and the dross of the word.

3. And there is always some wistful remnant in us of that early wooing of the world.

5. So much of our lives is meaningless, a self-cancelling vacillation and futility; we strive with the chaos about us and within; but we would believe all the while that there is something vital and significant in us, could we but decipher our own souls.

6. We want to understand; " life means for us constantly to transform into light and flame all that we are or meet with"; we are like Mitya in The Brother Karamazov-" one of those who don't want millions, but an answer to thier questions"; we want to seize the value and perspective of passing things, and so to pull ourselves up out of the maelstrom of daily circumstance.
