一恃轩、知識解析
Other
other可作形容詞或代詞，作形容詞時表示“別的扁瓢，其他的”详恼，泛指“其他的（人或物）”,不能單獨使用补君，后面必須接可數(shù)名詞的復(fù)數(shù)形式引几。
Eg:
He studies English, math and some other subjects.
譯：他學(xué)習(xí)英語、數(shù)學(xué)和一些別的科目挽铁。
上句話中伟桅，盡管前面沒有some，但在other后面也必須用復(fù)數(shù)形式叽掘。
Others
others是other的復(fù)數(shù)形式楣铁，它就相當(dāng)于“other+名詞復(fù)數(shù)”，泛指“別人更扁；另外幾個盖腕；其余的”。因此它的后面不能再接名詞浓镜。
others在句中可作主語溃列、賓語。
如果句中前面出現(xiàn)了some膛薛，后面通常就會用others听隐，即構(gòu)成“Some...others...”的固定結(jié)構(gòu)，這時就可以翻譯成“有的…有的…哄啄；一些…另一些/其他的…”雅任。
Eg:
①Some students are dancing, others are singing.
譯：一些學(xué)生在跳舞，其他的在唱歌咨跌。（學(xué)生們有的在跳舞沪么，有的在唱歌。）
上句中的others在這里就相當(dāng)于other students.
②Tom likes helping others.
譯：湯姆喜歡幫助別人锌半。
The other
1） the other指兩個人或物中的一個時成玫，只能用the other，不能用another 拳喻，此時的other作代詞哭当。
Eg:
He has two daughters. One is a nurse,the other is a worker.
譯：他有兩個女兒，一個是護(hù)士冗澈，另一個是工人钦勘。
2）the other后可加單數(shù)名詞，也可加復(fù)數(shù)名詞亚亲，此時的other作形容詞彻采。
Eg:
①On the other side of the street, there is a tall tree.
譯：在街道的另一邊腐缤，有一棵大樹。
②Mary is much taller than the other girls.
譯：瑪麗比其他的女孩高得多肛响。
Another
1） another表示三者及以上中的“再一岭粤，另一”個，后接單數(shù)名詞特笋。
既可作形容詞剃浇，也可作代詞，只能用于三個或更多的人或物猎物，泛指同類事物中的三者或三者以上的“另一個”虎囚，只能代替或修飾單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞。
這個單詞本質(zhì)上其實是“an other”這兩個單詞的連寫蔫磨，所以它的前面不能再寫上冠詞an.
Eg:
①I don't like this one. Please show me another.
譯：我不喜歡這一個淘讥，請給我看看另一個。
②I have three daughters. One is a nurse, another is a teacher and another is a worker.
譯：我有三個女兒堤如。一個是護(hù)士蒲列，另一個是教師，還有一個是工人搀罢。
2） another后還可以接“數(shù)詞+名詞復(fù)數(shù)”蝗岖，這時是把“數(shù)詞＋名詞復(fù)數(shù)作為一個整體來看待的。
Eg:
She had to stay here for another ten days.
譯：她只好又在這兒待了十天魄揉。
上句的意思暗含她原來就在這里已經(jīng)住了若干天了剪侮，現(xiàn)在不得不又住一個十天。
二洛退、小試牛刀

【解析】該詞作adj.绪爸，且根據(jù)句意，這個超市在街道的另一邊宙攻，故用the other奠货。
4.There were three books on my table.One is here.Where are ___?
【答案】others
【解析】就相當(dāng)于“other+名詞復(fù)數(shù)”，泛指“別人座掘；另外幾個递惋；其余的”柔滔。因此它的后面不能再接名詞。
5.This is not the only answer to the question.There are _____.
【答案】others
【解析】該空后不接名次萍虽，為代詞睛廊，且不知數(shù)目為多少。不用another杉编，是因another是指三者及以上中的另一個超全，其中的“另一個”也不符合題意。故用others王财。
6.He was a wonderful teacher.Everyone agreed it would be hard to find ____ like him.
【答案】another
【解析】該詞后不接名詞卵迂，為代詞裕便。句意指從人群中的再找不到另一個像他這樣的老師（三者及以上的其中的另一個）绒净。故用another。

【解析】該詞后不接名詞偿衰，為代詞挂疆。句意中指鞋店中的另一雙（三者及以上的其中的另一雙）。故為another下翎。
8.Mary didn’t want ____of the two kinds and asked the shop assistant to show her ______.

【解析】either是指兩者中的任何一個缤言。句中提到 two kinds，符合either的用法视事。后一個空句意指三個及以上的另一個胆萧，故為another。
