1.還差兩個(gè)小雕像。
Today was a day for celebration. Nobody was to worry about the hard times.
今天是個(gè)慶祝的日子,沒有人去擔(dān)心艱難的時(shí)候拨黔。
And Grace could stop at Ma Ginger's window quite content:ascertain that only two of the little china figurines remained, and were thus the only two she had not yet been able to save up enough to purchase.
格蕾絲可以滿足地在瑪英吉爾的櫥窗前駐足,確定只有兩個(gè)剩下的小雕像,她還沒有足夠的積蓄買下來。

2.Tom向Grace表白心意袭蝗。
Tom:I've got so much going on in my head...
我的腦袋里有太多的念頭...
Grace:That must be very tiring for you!
那你一定很累!
Tom:I think I've done a pretty good analysis of the folks in this town and I think I understand them in a meaningful way.
我想我對鎮(zhèn)上的居民已經(jīng)做了不錯(cuò)的分析,而且我想我已經(jīng)足夠了解他們唤殴。
But when I come to decipher you, I get absolutely nowhere.

【評】慶兹诨粒活動之前童番,Tom向Grace表白了心意。初看之時(shí)威鹿,覺得甚是感動和欣喜剃斧,就連他把“慶祝活動”誤說成了“婚禮”都覺得很甜忽你,兩個(gè)心靈相通的人終究還是在一起了幼东。
再看時(shí),帶著已知的結(jié)局科雳,仿佛更能理解這一段了根蟹。在Tom述說心意時(shí),他始終帶著一顆很糾結(jié)糟秘、不確定的心在述說著简逮,或許就像他自己一開始說的,他并不太確定這是不是愛尿赚。
在Grace的追問之下散庶,他得出結(jié)論:是的。然而當(dāng)Tom得知Grace也同樣也喜歡他時(shí)凌净,他所表現(xiàn)出的并不是欣喜悲龟,而是一種很奇怪的情緒,像是陷入了更深的憂慮冰寻,他又一次的逃避须教、畏縮了。這種猶豫斩芭,可能就預(yù)示著后來的背叛吧轻腺。
3.慶祝會上對Grace的肯定羹奉。
Jack McKay:This year I didn't bring any notes with me.
今年我沒有帶任何便條。
Because I'm not gonna pretend I can read them.Which brings me to a point. A point I wanna make.

4.不速之客又一次來訪收叶。
Police:Should have been celebrating myself, if this hadn't come up.Have to change this missing person notice.
我本來也該在參加慶祝活動,如果不是因?yàn)檫@個(gè),我得換掉這個(gè)失蹤者啟示共苛。

Tom:My dad's radio only plays music.

Police:Well, all know is that they say she's dangerous,and that anyone with any information about her had better call us pronto.That's the law.

That the gangsters had fixed to have charges made against Grace in their effort to neuralize her came as no surprise.
那些暴徒指控格蕾絲從而詆毀她的企圖,并沒有引起什么軒然大波

But everything had changed a little yet again.

【評】不速之客的又一次來訪,再次打破了小鎮(zhèn)原有的平靜安寧岭皂。Grace還是Grace郊霎,小鎮(zhèn)也還是那個(gè)小鎮(zhèn),但還是讓一切都發(fā)生了變化爷绘。哪怕小鎮(zhèn)中的所有人都明白书劝,那些指控不過是莫須有的罪名罷了,Grace是無辜的土至。卻還是讓他們再次陷入了恐慌與不知所措的境地购对,他們將面臨著又一次的抉擇。
