學(xué)生做英語(yǔ)閱讀時(shí)往往很怕遇到生詞。但遇到生詞又是很普遍的,第一是有些文章的主題就是介紹新事物尉姨,而這個(gè)新事物是學(xué)生未曾接觸過(guò)的并级,自然感到陌生拂檩;第二是學(xué)生平時(shí)掌握的基本是熟詞熟義,而有些文章涉及到了熟詞生義嘲碧;第三是學(xué)生在背高考范圍內(nèi)的3500詞時(shí)掌握不夠扎實(shí)稻励。
生詞如此普遍,高考英語(yǔ)也有對(duì)應(yīng)的猜詞題呀潭。那么钉迷,就要考慮如何通過(guò)各種技巧來(lái)攻克猜詞題,甚至把這些猜詞技巧推廣到其它生詞钠署。
猜詞題可以劃分為兩大類(lèi)糠聪,實(shí)詞和虛詞。實(shí)詞包含幾個(gè)小類(lèi)谐鼎,分別是單詞舰蟆、短語(yǔ)趣惠、句子(短句為主)。虛詞通常為代詞身害。
本文主要介紹句子類(lèi)味悄。這是考頻較低的題型,且考的基本是短句塌鸯。

原文第3段如下:
Some plants pump out smelly chemicals to keep insects away.But others do double duty .They pump out perfumes designed to attract different insects who are natural enemies to the attackers.Once they arrive,the tables are turned .The attacker who was lunching now becomes lunch.
從原文可知,植物的自保方式不同丙猬。有些植物通過(guò)泵發(fā)出難聞的化學(xué)物質(zhì)來(lái)屏退昆蟲(chóng)涨颜。但其它植物會(huì)執(zhí)行雙重職責(zé)。它們泵發(fā)出香味茧球,這種香味專(zhuān)用來(lái)吸引攻擊者的天敵庭瑰。一旦它們到達(dá)了,the tables are turned抢埋。正在吃午餐的攻擊者現(xiàn)在變成了午餐弹灭。
從翻譯很容易推導(dǎo)出the tables are turned的含義與“局勢(shì)反轉(zhuǎn)”類(lèi)似,所以A選項(xiàng)攻擊者受攻擊最為符合揪垄。
考生亦可以從字面義加以推導(dǎo)穷吮。“桌子倒轉(zhuǎn)”饥努,意味著雙方不變酒来,但身份變,A選項(xiàng)最為貼近肪凛。但這肯定不是一張真實(shí)的桌子堰汉,因此B選項(xiàng)不符合。植物也沒(méi)有進(jìn)攻能力伟墙,而是利用昆蟲(chóng)之間的制衡關(guān)系翘鸭,因此C選項(xiàng)也不符合。植物是利用香水來(lái)吸引昆蟲(chóng)的天敵戳葵,是為了自保就乓,因此明顯D選項(xiàng)也曲解了原文。
