Hello everyone! I’m Michelle. It is my ice break time. Before sharing my story, let’s have a game in advance: I would like you to guess 3 people based on my 3 descriptions following; a hint is that all of them are the famous ones you should know in some areas:

1, He was shy and stammered at early age, and spoke with strong accent; after years of practice with kind of methods, he is famous in politics. He had the “Gettysburg Address”. You know who he is? (additional condition: he was the 16th President of United States) Yes, Abraham Lincoln

2, He was shy and introverted at early age and he had very few friends and always felt lonely; till one day he met 2 warm hearted seniors on campus, who helped him open his heart and gradually became popular among the students. Moreover, he is not only famous on presentation, but also on presentation coach. You know who he is? (additional condition: he is the founder of CHIC) Yes, Hubert Lin.

3, She was shy and introverted, and reluctant to speak in public or even in a group, always the most silent one. Till one day, she becomes the most non-famous one in a speech. You know who she is? So that is my picture before my joining in CHIC. Moreover, working as a technical girl, I need to do product presentations to the customers sometimes, or work presentations in regular meetings in the company. During my presentations, some ones were always yawning, reading the WeChat, or answering the phone whisperingly. I felt extremely frustrated and just wanted to finish and leave as soon as possible. I was just air.

Since then, I began to learn the causes on presentation consciously, and participated in some workshops. While the results were: not only the situations seemed no improvement, and more confusions arose among the audience.

It is time to make change! In a chance, I met Youyisi Coaching cause; it is a rewarding and interesting cause. While the most valuable thing is that I knew 2 friends: Jade and Hubert during the cause, then I knew CHIC from them. But I still totally have no idea about CHIC at that time.

The following is that, I joined in several meetings of CHIC, and tried table topics sessions. It is an amazing place, as no matter how bad my show was, I always felt being supported and loved. I learned and grew here. And now with your courage, I come here and finish my ice break talk.

At this moment, my story on presentation not finish but just begin. With practices and sharing with each other, maybe one day I will also have famous presentation somewhere? Who knows?
