1. 倍數(shù) + as + 形容詞或副詞的原級(jí) +as + 其他宠能。
這種結(jié)構(gòu)又常演變成下列兩類：
①倍數(shù)+ as + many + 可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)+ as；
②倍數(shù)+ as +much + 不可數(shù)名詞+ as。
如：
There are seven times as many people as I expected.
是我預(yù)料的人數(shù)的七倍。
There is five times as much coffee in this glass as in that one.
這個(gè)杯子里的咖啡是那個(gè)杯子里的五倍隧魄。
2. 倍數(shù) + 形容詞（或副詞）的比較級(jí)+ than + 其他。
如：
The hall is five times bigger than our classroom.
這個(gè)大廳的面積比我們教室大五倍隘蝎。
3. 倍數(shù) + the size /height / length / width. etc. + of + 其他购啄。
如：
This road is six times the length of that one. 這條路是那條路的六倍長(zhǎng)。
4. The +計(jì)量名詞 + of + 名詞 + be +倍數(shù) + that +of + 其他嘱么。如：
The size of the newly broadened square is four times that of the previous one.
新擴(kuò)建的廣場(chǎng)為以前的四倍大狮含。
5. 倍數(shù)+what從句。
如：
The production is now three times what it was ten years ago.
現(xiàn)在的產(chǎn)量是十年前的三倍曼振。
6. 倍數(shù) + more + 名詞 + than +其他几迄。
如：
There are nine times more books in his bag than in yours.
他書(shū)包里的書(shū)比你書(shū)包里的書(shū)多九倍。
7. 其他表達(dá)冰评。
如：
She’s twice/ double my age. 她的年齡是我的兩倍映胁。
The average income of the staff has been increased by 50 percent compared with last year.
與去年相比，該單位職工的收入已增加了50%甲雅。
He runs faster than me by three times. 他跑得比我快三倍解孙。
8. 注意點(diǎn)
8.1. 倍數(shù)在句中的位置一般放在第一個(gè)as前面或比較級(jí)前面或名詞前面坑填。
8.2. 用times表示倍數(shù)時(shí)，一般只限于表示包括基數(shù)在內(nèi)的三倍或三倍以上的數(shù)弛姜。表示兩倍可以用twice或double脐瑰，一倍用once。
8.3 .... times＋more＋名詞（可數(shù), 不可數(shù)）＋than...
There are four times more books in our library than in yours.
我們圖書(shū)館藏書(shū)（數(shù)量）是你們圖書(shū)館的四倍廷臼。（多三倍）
We have produced twice more grain this year than we did last year.
我們今年生產(chǎn)的糧食比去年增長(zhǎng)一倍苍在。（是去年的兩倍）
8.4 .... times＋over＋被比對(duì)象表示“增加……倍”。
如:
The grain output in that village was twice over that of 1978.
那個(gè)村的糧食產(chǎn)量比一九七八年的增加了兩倍荠商。
8.5寂恬、用... ％（percent, per cent）＋up on＋被比對(duì)象
Altogether, more than 70 percent of the surface of our planet is covered by water.我們地球的表面百分之七十以上被水覆蓋。
Our factory's output of TV sets in 1998 was 400％up compared with 1980.
1998年我們工廠電視機(jī)的產(chǎn)量與1980年相比增長(zhǎng) 400％莱没。
The industrial output of last year in our factory was 250％up on that of 2000.
我們工廠去年的工業(yè)產(chǎn)量比2000年增加了250％初肉。（或增加兩倍半）
8.6、用double表示倍數(shù)
- double作形容詞, “兩倍的”郊愧。如:
The production is now double what it was
ten years ago.
現(xiàn)在的產(chǎn)量是十年前的兩倍朴译。
- double作動(dòng)詞, “是……的兩倍”。如:
The output has been doubled in the past
five years.
過(guò)去五年中產(chǎn)量翻了一番属铁。

8.8 使用by, compared with 等
Compared with last year， our coal output has increased by three times.
與去年相比焦蘑，我們的煤產(chǎn)量增長(zhǎng)了3 倍盯拱。(使用by...)
The number of the students in our school has increased four times compared with 1980.
我們學(xué)校的學(xué)生人數(shù)比1980 年增加了3 倍。(使用compared with)
