#Diary
Several tips for myself
It has been two months since I joined to read the Diary of a Wimpy kid. It is much intriguing and lovely so that I can keep on reading it till now. In practice, I am only familiar with those new words and phrases but am not able to use them in writing. I should have reviewed them over and over again to keep those in mind. However it is a pity that I failed to do so. Besides, I am satisfied with my persistence. Anyway I want to make a conclusion to express what I have learned.
To start with, I am the guy who is responsible for my own choice. Once deciding to do something, I must stick to it. Actually, I have highly zeroed in on reading it and taking notes firstly. Then I was attracted by other books in the middle term. I once stopped reading one day, and then I gave up another day. I thought I have a good reason to stop. The truth is that it was just an excuse. After all, a loose end is the least thing I have hoped. Therefore, I got rid of various excuses and made it eventually. Taking the responsibility to fulfill my own goals has strengthened my confidence to set another goal next time.
Secondly, setting a goal and a dead line will push me forward and complete it punctually. I am desperately wishing to optimize my English to a higher level. I used to believe that the gene, the learning background, teachers and other factors limit it. I have changed to believe that it is my actions that determine my ends. I can and I do have improved it in the past two months more than I have done in the last four years. What I have done is to work on it day and night, Monday to Sunday in a period, and then to learn lessons from it as well as to learn again.
Finally, I have to accept both my advantages and disadvantages. Understanding that I have my own merits will encourage me to change my demerits. By contrast, my own demerits will remind me to be humble to improve myself over and over again. I am happy to embrace everything I have.
I thank sincerely to Wa~, Donut~ and Shi Yan to have checked my diaries to help me improve them. Thank Eric very much to set this reading group.
