Instruction:學(xué)生4人一組,在閱讀后進行小組討論庄拇,每人分別承擔以下角色:plot master?(負責(zé)復(fù)述重要故事情節(jié))溜畅,culture collector?(負責(zé)介紹該篇創(chuàng)作時代背景和社會背景),language master(分析優(yōu)美語言榜配,包括詞匯否纬、修辭吕晌、句法蛋褥、寫作手法等),character master(負責(zé)介紹主要角色睛驳,包括其語言烙心、行為、動作等特點乏沸。

二碍论、While-Reading Group Work?“Learning Station”
Instruction:教師將學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容按一定邏輯分為若干部分谅猾,每一個部分制作與班級人數(shù)相等的學(xué)案分別放置在教室中若干個位置,形成幾個learning station鳍悠。學(xué)生以小組為單位税娜,輪流到每一個station閱讀并學(xué)習(xí)學(xué)案上的內(nèi)容,完成相應(yīng)的討論要求藏研,之后集體輪轉(zhuǎn)到另一個station進行學(xué)習(xí)和討論敬矩,以此類推,直至完成全部station的學(xué)習(xí)遥倦,回到座位以班級為單位進行討論谤绳、匯報。在每一個小站的學(xué)習(xí)時間應(yīng)由老師規(guī)定袒哥,按學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容難度規(guī)定若干分鐘內(nèi)完成一個station的學(xué)習(xí)缩筛。

Purpose:Understanding characters
To really understand a character’s role in a story, it helps to look at the character from several angles. When you’re asked to describe or analyze a character, think?SADDR( stations 、action 堡称、drawing瞎抛、definition?,?reaction)?which stands for these ways of looking at a character.
1.?Go to the first station according to your group number (1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5)
2.?At each station, read the paper strip and have a discussion about it with your group members.
3.?Jot down some good ideas and the thing you learn while you are talking.?
4.?When you are done, go to the next station. Take a paper strip away and keep it to yourself.
5.?You have 3 minutes for each station.
(Hint: Get a piece of scratch paper to jot down anything in your mind when you are in the station journey)

Speech: What does the character say? What does this tell you about the character? For instance, Vernon Dursley “yelled at five people” at work. This is a clue that he can be unfriendly and that he doesn’t really care about other people’s feelings. On the other hand, Professor Dumbledore said many things that showed he was kind and understanding of different people. What are two examples of things he said?

?Action: What does the character do? What does this tell you about the character? For instance, Hagrid brings Harry to Professor Dumbledore on a flying motorcycle. This is a clue that he is a little bit wild

Description: What does the author say about the character? What does that description tell you about the character?
Example: Albus Dumbledore is described as “tall, thin and very old.” He also rummages through his cloak and laughs softly when he sees the cat (who is Professor McGonagall). This tells you that he has a sense of humor and might be a bit absent-minded. Your turn: Professor McGonagall is described rather differently, as a “rather severe-looking woman” whose “black hair was drawn into a tight bun,” who Albus Dumbledore thought sat “so stiffly.” What kind of teacher do you think she would be? Drawing: Imagine what the character looks like and make a sketch of it. Professor McGonagall’s neat hair and trim appearance are clues that she is a fastidious, neat and organized person. What does Albus Dumbledore’s appearance tell you about his character?

Reactions of others: How do other characters in the story react to this character? For instance, Professor McGonagall asks Albus Dumbledore a lot of questions about what has happened. She clearly thinks he knows a lot, and when Professor Dumbledore asks her to, she uses Voldemort's name, even though she doesn't really want to, showing that Professor Dumbledore is a well-respected person. How does Professor McGonagall react to Hagrid? What does this tell you about him?
備注:learning station?增加了知識學(xué)習(xí)的趣味性和互動性,教師也可以根據(jù)所教內(nèi)容靈活設(shè)計每個station的任務(wù)却紧,也可以將station的排序在內(nèi)容上設(shè)計出遞進性桐臊,如同游戲闖關(guān),使學(xué)生在互動與合作中體會知識習(xí)得的樂趣晓殊。在輪轉(zhuǎn)完畢后断凶,教師應(yīng)注意引導(dǎo)學(xué)生總結(jié)匯報學(xué)習(xí)成果。
三:While/Post-Reading Work?“Draw the plot”
Instruction:教師挑選情節(jié)突出巫俺,人物形象或事件鮮明的文章節(jié)選认烁,要求學(xué)生以小組為單位進行情節(jié)繪畫,用一副圖概括出某一情節(jié)的重要場景介汹。之后小組展示并解說自己的繪畫却嗡。
范例:以《哈利波特與魔法石》chapter3 the letters from no one為例?
Draw the scenes from day 1 to day 6 to show what happened to Harry and the family.
備注:繪畫要求的細節(jié)需要學(xué)生認真閱讀篇章,并且理解嘹承,小組合作也增強了趣味性和互動窗价。應(yīng)注意篇章的挑選適合繪畫展示。同理叹卷,第五章對角巷的地圖或各式魔法店面同樣可以要求學(xué)生用繪畫展示閱讀理解撼港。
四:Post-Reading Individual Work: Literature Analysis
Instruction:針對文學(xué)閱讀中教授的文學(xué)知識和賞析技能坪它,要求學(xué)生進行文學(xué)分析寫作。應(yīng)在題目要求中列出引導(dǎo)問題和要點帝牡。
范例:以高一學(xué)期末文學(xué)分析作業(yè)為例?
Choose a topic from below and write an analysis paper(at least 500 words).
A.????Appreciate the aesthetic features in?The Nightingale and the Rose. Answer the questions: What can you get from the story itself without thinking about the historical background and the author’s experience??
When you know more about the personal experience of the author, what deeper thinking can you dig out from the story?
