Since the dawn of the Internet, we have been given access to an explosive amount of information, from international affairs such as the meeting of Washington and Tokyo down to the minute details of the dressing tactics of Mr. Trump. While the access to this huge amount of information brings advantages, it also poses ?challenges and problems.
First of all, quantity does not guarantee quality. Type in "Clarendon code" on Baidu, and probably some irrelevant web pages will pop out. You have to spend some time to find the right information, but the relevant one like Wikipedia sometimes includes minute details that you don't really need. It can be a waste of time to filter the information,
Secondly, though there is abundant information out there, most of them is fragmentalized. It remains a challenge for learners to combine them to their advantage. Otherwise these are just pieces scattered here and there with no use. For those without the mental ability to do so, it can be a real headache.
Lastly, suggestive contents can be dangerous for children and young adults. Without proper knowledge or ?guidance from their parents, they may be indulged in those luscious words and videos, which exerts a negative influence on their psychological development. Since suggestive contents can not be altogether banned from the Internet and children may avoid supervision from the parents, this remains a problem in the modern society.
Despite all the challenges, the Internet has truly brought about much benefit to us in our daily life. ?With the information of the Internet, we have broadened our horizon and deepened our understanding of the world. Hopefully, with the development of the Internet and a better supervision of the contents, those information can be used to our own advantages.
