三十輻嘹吨,共一轂,當(dāng)其無(wú)境氢,有車之用蟀拷。埏埴以為器,當(dāng)其無(wú)萍聊,有器之用问芬。鑿戶牖以為室,當(dāng)其無(wú)寿桨,有室之用此衅。故有之以為利,無(wú)之以為用亭螟。
The thirty spokes unite in the one nave;
And it is on the empty space for the axle,
That the use of the wheel depends.
Clay is fashioned into vessels;
And it is on their empty hollowness,
That their use depends.
The door and windows are cut out from the walls to form an apartment;
And it is on the empty space within,
That its use depends.
Therefore, what has a positive existence serves for profitable adaptation,
And the actual usefulness depends upon the void.
【解】據(jù)《河上公注》“三十輻共一轂炕柔,古者車三十輻,法月數(shù)也媒佣。共一轂者,轂中有孔陵刹,故眾輻共湊之默伍。治身者當(dāng)除情去欲,使五藏空虛衰琐,神乃歸之也糊。治國(guó)者寡能,摠眾弱共使強(qiáng)也羡宙。當(dāng)其無(wú)狸剃,有車之用。無(wú)狗热,謂空虛钞馁。轂中空虛,輪得轉(zhuǎn)行匿刮,轝中空虛僧凰,人得載其上也。埏埴以為器熟丸,埏训措,和也。埴,土也绩鸣。和土以為飲食之器怀大。當(dāng)其無(wú),有器之用呀闻。器中空虛化借,故得有所盛受。鑿戶牖以為室总珠,謂作屋室屏鳍。當(dāng)其無(wú)有室之用。言戶牖空虛局服,人得以出入觀視钓瞭;室中空虛,人得以居處淫奔,是其用山涡。故有之以為利,利唆迁,物也鸭丛,利於形用。器中有物唐责,室中有人鳞溉,恐其屋破壞,腹中有神鼠哥,畏其形亡也熟菲。無(wú)之以為用。言虛空者乃可用盛受萬(wàn)物朴恳,故曰虛無(wú)能制有形抄罕。道者空也∮谟保”已經(jīng)解釋得比較清楚了呆贿,
