Face n. /v.
- Smiling faces/ a sad face
大家想到笑臉/悲傷臉,其實(shí)這里的英文定義是expression shown on a face伊约,具體指的是面部表情或臉色闯割,同樣是臉肆氓,但此臉非彼臉 - One’s face falls: one’s expression shows disappointment
His face fell when he heard the news.
非常形象有木有去枷,O(∩_∩)O哈哈~ - In the face of sth
Succeed in the face of danger 不懼危險(xiǎn)地完成 - Put a bold, brave, good, etc face on sth: accept (bad news, etc) courageously, pretending that it is not as bad as it is
Her exam results were disappointing, but she tried to put a brave face on it. - Set one’s face against sb/sth: determined to oppose sb/sth
- Face 做動(dòng)詞有require the attention of sth/sb;confront的意思

注意這里用的是主動(dòng)形式 - Let’s face it : we must acknowledge that...
Let’s face it, we won’t win whatever we do.

hawk
