Will Smith shared his first time to jump out of the airplane on the interview when talking about how to face fear. He was even scared to death before taking on the plane. Will shared how he felt the second he jumped out of the plane.
“You would find this was the best experience of your whole life the second you jump out of the plane. You were flying in the air without any fear. Only then did I realize we would feel fearless when we faced the biggest challenge straightly.”
Why did you toss in the bed the night before you jumped? You stood on the earth and what were you afraid of ? I wasted so much time fearing before I really took on the plane which ruined my day. God always put the best thing on the back of the fear. The most exhilarating experiences always hide behind the biggest fear from our deep heart.
In retrospect, I’ve did plenty of such fear-based things. Before I picked up the phone and press the customer’s phone number, my heart speeded up and the longer I waited for the customer to answer, the more I became nervous. I was scared to death. But when I began to talk with the customer on the other side of the phone, I found it wasn’t such scared like what I though before. All the fear was fantasized by myself. I was scared by myself instead of the thing itself. Press on one more step and we will get more or less happier. But if we step back, it will be much harder for us to go ahead the next time when facing fear.
