Then in the fifth grade Shelly Stalls came into the picture, Shelly Stalls is ninny（傻子/笨蛋）. A whiny（愛發(fā)惱騷的）, gossipy（多嘴的）,backstabbing（陷害） ninny who says one thing to one person and opposite to another（當(dāng)面一套，背后一套）. Now that we're in junior high（初中）,she's the undisputed（當(dāng)之無愧的） diva（主角） of drama（戲劇，劇本）,but even back in elementary school （初級中學(xué)） she knew how to put on（開始） a performance（表演）. ?Especially when it came to P.E. I nerver once saw her run laps（一圈） or do calisthenics（柔軟體操）. Instead, she would go into her "delicate（微妙的）" act, claiming her body would absolutely collapse（崩潰） from the strain（拉傷） if she ran or jumped or stretched（拉伸）.

It worked. Every year. She'd bring in some note and be sure to（務(wù)必; 必定） swoon（昏厥吱涉，昏倒） a little for the teacher the first few days of the year, after which she'd be excused from （準(zhǔn)許...離開）anything that required muscles（肌肉）. She never even put up her own chair at the end of the day. The only muscles she exercised（鍛煉） regularly（有規(guī)律的） were the ones around her mouth, and those she worked out nonstop（不停地鍛煉）. If there was an Olympic contest（比賽，競賽） for talking, Shelly Stalls would sweep（全勝） the event. Well,she'd at least win the gold and silver---one medal（勛章氨距，獎牌） for each side of her mouth.

What bugged（惡心的） me about it was not the fact that she got out of（逃避） P.E.（體育課）---who'd want her on their team, anyway? What bugged me about it was that anyone who bothered to（費心） look would know that it wasn't asthma（氣喘） or weak ankles（腳踝受傷） or her being "delicate" that was stopping her. It was her hair. She had mountains of it,twisted（扭轉(zhuǎn)吝镣，歪曲） this way or that, cliped（用夾子夾著） or beaded（用珠子裝飾）,braided（編成辮子） or swirled（旋轉(zhuǎn)）. Her ponytails（馬尾辮） rivaled（媲美） the ones on carousel horses（旋轉(zhuǎn)木馬）. And on the days she let it all hang down（垂下來）,she'd sort of shimmy（搖動） and cuddle（擁抱，懷抱） inside it like it was blanket（毛毯谨胞，毯子）,so that practically（幾乎铲咨，事實） all you saw of ?her face was her nose. Good luck playing four-square（方正的） with a blanket over your head.

但讓我覺得惡心的不是她逃避體育課勾徽，而是那些想跟她一個隊的人，費盡心機地想看看她统扳，他們知道她腳不疼喘帚，也沒有氣喘等等。他們僅僅是因為山妮有一頭飄逸的頭發(fā)咒钟，她時不時做成波浪卷吹由，時不時用夾子夾著，時不時編成辮子用珠子裝飾著朱嘴，這些都深深地吸引著她的追隨者們倾鲫。有時候，她會披散著頭發(fā)萍嬉，像個毯子一樣在頭上乌昔，基本上只能看見一個鼻子。在腦袋上裹著一床毯子玩拋球游戲?還是算了吧帚湘。
