邁克爾，一個出生在貧窮人家的孩子凡傅，他的家就在毒癮圈子不遠的地方，他的周圍到處是墮落而又無助的人肠缔，每當他的媽媽做“壞事”的時候，就會讓邁克爾閉上眼睛明未，做完壞事后，數1,2,3讓邁克爾睜開眼睛亚隅，并告訴邁克爾明天依舊美好。在骯臟而又嘈雜的環(huán)境里煮纵，充滿了黑暗與暴力懂鸵，一個大個子男孩像貨物一樣從一家運到另一家行疏，他停駐的居所里的人都在假裝對他好匆光，最終都放棄了他酿联。
一個這樣背景的孩子终息，如果他變壞贞让，那是理所當然的事情，可他依舊不愿意成為那個壞人喳张，他慢慢地自閉续镇，沉默销部。電影中你會看到一個偌大的身材經常出現在冰冷的夜里摸航，只為能夠免費洗自己的僅有的1-2件衣裳或者尋找可以吃的食物和睡覺的地方。他不斷地被學校以各種理由開除酱虎，你會想這big man完蛋了。他的人生已經被判了死刑读串。
可不曾想過，他愿意將看球臺上的吃剩的垃圾袋拾起爹土，他愿意將別人施舍過他的被子整理好之后離開……出生在這樣家庭環(huán)境中的孩子怎么可能做到甥雕？可邁克爾做到了胀茵，最終他為了保護領養(yǎng)家的弟弟而用手擋在了前面，他為了保護自己的家人而在賽場上打敗了對手琼娘，他甚至為了家人而選擇了密西西比大學峭弟。他的原因很簡單：“因為這是我家人上學的地方”脱拼。一個從小沒有得到愛的人瞒瘸，當他得到了愛熄浓，他愿意用自己的生命去呵護這份愛情臭。
在變好與變壞之間赌蔑，有時候就在一念之間俯在，你選擇了什么娃惯，就會成就什么？

Courage is a hard thing to figure趾浅，You can have courage based on a dumb idea or mistake愕提，but you're not supposed to question adults or your coach or your teacher, because they make the rules, maybe they know best, but maybe they don't, it all depends on who you are, where you come from didn't at least one of the six hundred guys think about giving up and joining with the other side?
I mean,valley of death that's pretty salty stuff, that's why courage it's tricky, should you always do what others tell you to do? Sometimes you might not even know why you're doing something, I mean any fool can have courage, but honor,that's the real reason you either do something or you don't
It's who you are and maybe who you want to be, if you die trying for something important, then you have both honor and courage. that's pretty good, you should hope for courage and try for honor, maybe even pray that the people telling you what to do have some, too.
