一弊决、框架式閱讀法
傳統(tǒng)的閱讀方法認(rèn)為閱讀是一種"自下而上(bottom-up process)"的過程逃片,這種理論認(rèn)為要達(dá)到對(duì)閱讀語(yǔ)篇的理解,就要從最小的語(yǔ)言單位-字或單詞的分析入手未荒,逐步弄懂短語(yǔ)荧降、句子和語(yǔ)篇的含義接箫。基于這樣的一種理論朵诫,學(xué)生習(xí)慣逐字辛友、逐詞的閱讀并將其翻譯成中文。這樣的一種閱讀習(xí)慣過多地把注意力放在了單詞上剪返,不但不易理解句子的內(nèi)在含義废累,而且影響了閱讀速度。如何攻克長(zhǎng)難句并且提高閱讀速度呢脱盲?框架式閱讀法就是解決這一問題的突破口邑滨。
四級(jí)考試大綱明確指出,閱讀理解部分主要測(cè)試的能力有:掌握所讀材料的主旨和大意并了解說(shuō)明主旨和大意的事實(shí)和細(xì)節(jié)钱反。然而受傳統(tǒng)閱讀方法"自上而下(bottom-up process)"的影響掖看,以往閱讀長(zhǎng)難句究其內(nèi)在都是通過劃分句子成分,確定主謂賓面哥,找到句子的主干哎壳。由于參加四級(jí)考試的大學(xué)生大多數(shù)都是非英語(yǔ)專業(yè),缺乏相關(guān)的訓(xùn)練尚卫,這種劃分句子成分耳峦、尋找主謂賓的方法并不實(shí)用。
所謂框架式閱讀法焕毫,是根據(jù)美國(guó)學(xué)者古登曼(Goodman)提出"自上而下(top-down approach)"的模式得出蹲坷。他認(rèn)為讀者應(yīng)該是閱讀過程中的積極參與者,應(yīng)該利用已有的知識(shí)選擇文章的有用信息加強(qiáng)理解邑飒,沒有必要逐字逐句的閱讀文章循签。
這種自上而下的閱讀模式對(duì)于四級(jí)閱讀十分適用「硐蹋框架式閱讀法的具體操作步驟只有兩步县匠,第一步,斷句找標(biāo)點(diǎn)撒轮。即在標(biāo)點(diǎn)符號(hào)處斷句乞旦。這是因?yàn)橹袊?guó)人不擅長(zhǎng)看長(zhǎng)句子,擅長(zhǎng)看短句子题山,因此我們要變長(zhǎng)句子為短句子兰粉,初步清掃閱讀障礙。第二步顶瞳,尋覓句"主干"玖姑。這里的"主干"并非傳統(tǒng)意義上的"主謂賓"愕秫,而是整個(gè)句子的"核心",也就是整個(gè)句子真正要表達(dá)的內(nèi)容焰络。英語(yǔ)句子屬于樹狀結(jié)構(gòu)戴甩,也就是說(shuō)無(wú)論一個(gè)句子多長(zhǎng),只能表達(dá)一個(gè)主要內(nèi)容闪彼。而這個(gè)主要內(nèi)容即為"樹"的"根"甜孤,其余的"分支"和"樹葉"作為句子的次要成分,起到的是解釋畏腕、說(shuō)明的作用课蔬,不作為四級(jí)閱讀對(duì)于"主旨大意"部分考查的重點(diǎn)內(nèi)容,因此可以略讀郊尝。
二、框架式閱讀法的應(yīng)用
例1.

這個(gè)句子一共67個(gè)字战惊,屬于典型的"長(zhǎng)難句"流昏。很多學(xué)生習(xí)慣性的從第一個(gè)字讀到最后一個(gè)字,并且開始機(jī)械的翻譯:作為對(duì)推進(jìn)世界經(jīng)濟(jì)力量的回應(yīng)吞获,大學(xué)變得更加具有"自我全球意識(shí)":大學(xué)從世界各地招來(lái)承載多元文化和價(jià)值觀的學(xué)生况凉;大學(xué)把本校學(xué)生派往國(guó)外準(zhǔn)備開拓全球事業(yè);大學(xué)還通過開設(shè)課程各拷,共同應(yīng)對(duì)來(lái)自互相聯(lián)系的世界及為了全人類的利益發(fā)展科學(xué)而展開的聯(lián)合研究帶來(lái)的多重挑戰(zhàn)刁绒。這樣的閱讀方法,不但費(fèi)時(shí)烤黍,而且思維混亂知市,無(wú)法找到句子真正表達(dá)的內(nèi)容。因此對(duì)于本句速蕊,可以采取框架式閱讀法嫂丙。
第一步,斷句找標(biāo)點(diǎn)规哲,即在標(biāo)點(diǎn)處斷句跟啤。

第二步,尋覓句"主干"唉锌,即以斷句處為一個(gè)語(yǔ)言單位隅肥,尋找句子的主要內(nèi)容。
在第一個(gè)分句中袄简,in response to意為"為了回應(yīng)"腥放,表示目的,屬于解釋說(shuō)明的內(nèi)容绿语,因此后面內(nèi)容可以略去不看捉片。在第二個(gè)分句的末尾平痰,看到了一個(gè)冒號(hào)(":"),眾所周知伍纫,冒號(hào)起到的也是解釋說(shuō)明的作用宗雇,在此句中,第3莹规、4赔蒲、5個(gè)分句都是對(duì)于大學(xué)如何變得全球化進(jìn)行解釋,所以冒號(hào)后面的所有內(nèi)容也可以略去不看良漱。因此舞虱,67個(gè)字的長(zhǎng)難句,其核心只有6個(gè)字:university have become more self-consciously global. 只要讀懂這6個(gè)字母市,這句話的實(shí)質(zhì)就已經(jīng)掌握矾兜。

第二步患久,尋覓句主干椅寺。瀏覽句子時(shí),發(fā)現(xiàn)句1和句2之間有一個(gè)代表詞but蒋失,因此句1屬于讓步內(nèi)容返帕,可以略去不看,句2"but the United States is still seen by many as unwelcoming to international students"才是整個(gè)句子的核心篙挽,意思為"美國(guó)依然給很多人留下了不歡迎國(guó)際學(xué)生的印象"荆萤。

分句1是人名链韭,分句2和分句3均是對(duì)于人名的解釋說(shuō)明,因此可以略讀煮落,到分句4梧油,發(fā)現(xiàn)代表詞says,says后面"high-quality sustainable materials can still be tough to find"屬于作者的觀點(diǎn)州邢,即為句子的核心儡陨。因此這句話的核心意思為:Scott Hahn表示高質(zhì)量的可持續(xù)材料仍然不易找到。

Modern cars are tougher to steal, as their engine management computer
won't allow them to start unless they receive a unique ID code beamed out by

根據(jù)框架式閱讀法量淌,先斷句:

然后找句子的"主干"骗村。通過瀏覽分句1和分句2,發(fā)現(xiàn)1和2中間有一個(gè)代表詞as呀枢,表示原因胚股。因此分句1表示的是結(jié)果,屬于句子的核心裙秋,而分句2可以略讀甚至不讀琅拌。因此缨伊,本句話的核心為:"Modern cars are tougher to steal",意思為:"現(xiàn)代的汽車更難偷"进宝。

根據(jù)框架式閱讀法刻坊,第一步斷句找標(biāo)點(diǎn):

第二步,尋覓句"主干"党晋。通過觀察谭胚,句2,3未玻,4作為插入語(yǔ)灾而,是對(duì)句1的解釋說(shuō)明,因此略去不看扳剿。因此詞句的核心為"His results have surprised psychologists"旁趟,意思是"他的研究成果使心理學(xué)家們震驚"。
