People nowadays are surrounded by all kinds of advertisements .Advertising affects what people think is important and sometimes has a negative influence on people's lives .On what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is not uncommon to see?various advertisements everywhere ,from TV commercials to billboards ,from embedded marketing to non-profit advertising .In rare cases?,headlines?fail to?attract our attention or to arouse wide concern among the public. This influence,as for me ,can be either constructive or destructive .
For one thing?,as a powerful popularization means ,advertisements?do bring positive impact?.The public-interest advertising is a good illustration . Via media ,we are informed of?the information that compulsory education is inaccessible for a vast majority of children from under-developed areas because of poverty and ignorance . Luckily ,now many of them have returned to schools with the assist of local government and warm-hearted people . In 2008 ,the Olympic Games?was a hot topic in media coverage?,encouraging the public to make their contribution and efforts to enhance the national identity .
On the other hand ,the proliferation of advertising ,apparently ,has a damaging influence on individuals' lives?.The original purpose of advertisements is to boost the sales of goods and stimulate consumption ,thus contributing to domestic economic development .Nevertheless,?frequent broadcast of?lots of tempting advertising of top stars and celebrities in extravagant clothes?severely undermines?people's right outlook on life .?Materialism and utilitarianism?are highly worshiped ,and ,sadly, the youth are?the biggest victim.
Overall,?whether we like it or not ,adverting is ubiquitous?in life .Achieving news and information is also the process of being affected .I believe those advertisements companies should?shoulder the social responsibility?and manage to bring positive energy to the public?as opposed to?the negative .
