Lesson 25 Do the English speak English?
I arrived in London at last. The railway station was big, black and dark. I did not know the way to my hotel, so I asked a porter. I not only spoke English very carefully,
but very clearly as well. The porter, however, could not understand me; I repeated my question several times and at last he understood. He answered me, but he spoke neither slowly nor clearly. 'I am a foreigner,' I said. Then he spoke slowly, but I could not understand him. My teacher never spoke English like that! The porter and I looked at each other and smiled. Then he said something and I understood it. 'You'll soon learn English!' he said. I wonder. In England, each person speaks a different language. The English understand each other, but I don't understand them! Do they speak English?

今天聽到群里很多人都有習(xí)慣在單詞里頭加r剪勿,于是就復(fù)習(xí)了L跟R兩個(gè)音標(biāo)。
/r/無(wú)擦通音
發(fā)音要領(lǐng):
軟腭上升照雁,封住鼻腔竭翠。舍身后縮拌汇,舌尖抬高蚯根,接近而不是接觸上齒齦后部驹止,舌的后邊緣接觸上臼齒棵红。舌尖微卷凶赁,舌中部下陷。氣流通過舌中心部分逸出逆甜,不產(chǎn)生摩擦虱肄。
/r/音位有三種主要變體:常體即齒齦后部無(wú)擦通音,濁擦音和清音化的擦音/r/交煞。
常體/r/詞首或音節(jié)首:read, road, arrive, variety或濁輔音(/d/除外)后面:bright, great, embrace, agree, 或作連接音a matter of fact, far way
濁擦音/r/咏窿,用于/d/后,如dry, dream, laundry.
清音化后的擦音/r/素征,用于重讀的/p, t, k/后面: pride, tree, crowd, attract, increase
舌邊音/l/
發(fā)音要領(lǐng):
發(fā)/l/音時(shí)集嵌,軟腭上升萝挤,封住鼻腔;舌尖與上齒齦發(fā)生接觸纸淮,在口腔前方阻擋氣流平斩,只能讓氣流沿舌側(cè)逸出,所以稱/l/為舌邊輔音咽块。發(fā)/l/音時(shí)绘面,聲帶顫動(dòng)。/l/又稱舌邊無(wú)擦通音侈沪。
/l/音位有三種主要變體:清晰/l/揭璃,含糊/l/和清音化/l/
發(fā)清晰/l/時(shí),舌前部要向硬腭抬起亭罪,音色接近前元音瘦馍。這個(gè)變體出現(xiàn)在元音或者硬腭無(wú)通擦音/j/前:lie, let, aloud, asleep, selection, failure, million, William
發(fā)含糊/l/時(shí),舌后部向軟腭抬起应役,使舌身呈凹形情组,音色類似于后元音。這個(gè)變體用于除/j/以外的輔音前或詞尾箩祥。

清音化的/l/出現(xiàn)在/p, k/后院崇。為了與/p,k/的聲帶狀態(tài)保持一致而部分停止聲帶顫動(dòng),成為清音化的/l/

練習(xí)感悟:
1. but I could not understand him.這句話聽完之后覺得很簡(jiǎn)單袍祖,結(jié)果自己念底瓣,怎么都不能做到百分百像。
2.說(shuō)了要把carefully跟clearly那種小心翼翼的生怕別人聽不懂的感覺念出來(lái)蕉陋,結(jié)果太刻意了捐凭,附近的單詞反而受了影響,音調(diào)念得怪怪的凳鬓;
3.怎么讀都是差2s茁肠,為什么?最近都沒有計(jì)算練習(xí)時(shí)長(zhǎng)缩举,所以不知道為了這兩秒又讀了多少遍垦梆,但是聲音變得不好聽了,就沒有繼續(xù)糾結(jié)了蚁孔。用喉嚨發(fā)聲的毛病不好改掉奶赔,還是得多含水練習(xí)發(fā)聲。
