Today, as a reporter of La Agencia EFE,S.A., I was invited by La Stampa to visit Pompeii. As we all know, in AD 79, Pompeii was a highly prosperous city integrating economy and culture. locating in the port of Naples击儡,Pompeii was also a tourist resort.
I thought that Pompeii was only a remained ruins now, but in fact, there are still some old large buildings. Nearby塔沃,people have built a Pompeii Museum on the original basis, which is very new. After the museum staff told me the stages of the eruption, I tried to imagine the scene of the eruption. The bustling streets were crowded with locals, foreigners, children, adults, businessmen, and sailors. They all did things at their own pace, but when they heard the roar from Mount Vesuvius, they stopped what they were doing and looked up at the volcano in the sky. Red magma rushed out of the crater, accompanied by some volcanic rocks scattered around like rain. Volcanic stone rain falls on trees, trees instantly catch fire, falls on the wooden house, and the roof disappeared instantly. People began to run around, some fled to the temple, pinned their hopes on the gods, asked the gods to forgive and stop committing crimes, some crash to the public bathroom, huddled in the bathroom, hoping to find a solution through discussion. The others are some foreigners, who crammed all their jewelry and wealth into their sack and asked their wives and children to leave this uneasy place that is about to destroy human beings. These people who left Pompeii survived. But the people who stayed in Pompeii stayed under the volcanic ash with the ancient buildings until they were discovered by archaeologists. Touching the scorching wall under the scorching sun in August, I can feel the heat of the volcano directly melt people's bodies - most of the people on the run die here, which is why there are not many bodies left in Pompeii. At night, I camped here, imagining how people would walk when volcanic ash filled the air, stumbling or staggering. No one was spared in the end.
